The room was on the smaller size, but not a problem if you don't have a lot of luggage. The bed was comfortable, there was accessible lighting everywhere, there was tea and coffee outside the room in the hallway. Everything was clean and well-lit, with big windows. The WC was in the room but separated by a door and the shower was also in the room, big enough, with good water pressure. They had many really good options for breakfast (10-15€ extra charge). The staff was really nice and accommodating, helping us with keeping our luggage before we had to leave. It was very close to the train station (~10' walking) from where you could get a tram or a bus to take you in the city. There's not much to do around the area of the hotel, but you could easily get around. I chose JOST because it seemed like a place with personality and it lived up to all my expectations. I'd definitely return.

Situated in Bordeaux, MEININGER Hotel Bordeaux Gare Saint-Jean has a shared lounge, terrace, bar, and free WiFi throughout the property. We stayed at the Meininger Hotel for one night and it was a brilliant experience. There's a shared kitchen available which we were really happy with. Comfortable beds, really really quiet and super friendly staff. Will definitely book again when in Bordeaux.

The room was really clean, comfortable and surprisingly quiet even if the hotel is very close to the train station. Public transportation was available with a few minutes of walk where you could reach the city center easily. The staff was friendly and helpful.
