I didn't win but was still gifted a snack bag. Sleeping area is upstairs in the building next door to the caravan and tent pictured. The place felt homey with all the little touches and details. I only stayed one night here but will recommend this place for those who want to experience living in ASO.

Situated in Minami Aso, 17 km from Naka-dake, Wakka provides a garden. The property is located 19 km from Aso Farm Land. Guests can enjoy mountain views. The place is so nice and clean, feel good to visited there.

Situated in Kumamoto, an 40-minute walk from Hosokawa Residence Gyobutei, Hiroshimaya provides air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi. This place is absolutely incredible! The hosts are kind and sweet, the facilities are cosy, and the space is soothing and aesthetic. The building apparently is 100 years old, so it has a very traditional Japanese character which is exactly what you want from a trip here. The hosts also volunteered to drive me to the train station so I would be on time for the next leg of my journey. I stayed here only overnight, but it's the sort of place that makes you wish you had stayed for longer.

Only a 2-minute walk from Senbabashi Train Station, Dyeing and Hostel Nakashimaya is a female only property that offers affordable accommodations with free Wi-Fi. The atmosphere of the place was extremely relaxing. This traditional Japanese house has been tastefully renovated and decorated. The host is also really sweet - she even offered me a larger room than the one I had booked. My stay was just perfect. 100% recommend!!

Located in a lovely little town. The host Rie was extremely hospitable - she showed us around the accommodation and then gave us a tour of the town. The beds were comfortable and the accommodation was spacious and clean. Rie was generous with her time- she made various recommendations of places to visit and she was easily contactable.

What a wonderful 5 night stay we had in this beautiful guest house. We loved it so much we even stayed 'home' one day! Close to Kumamoto but felt a world away. Our generous hosts looked after us so well.
