Located within less than 1 km of Tissa Wewa and 25 km of Bundala Bird Sanctuary in Tissamaharama, Tissa Rainbow Guest & Yala provides accommodation with seating area. Stayed there a couple weeks back Positives - spotless amazing bedroom with all the facilities - amazing friendly host who gave us Cocunut water on arrival as promised in other reviews - GET THE FOOD THERE....it was a feast and was absolutely delicious great value sri lanken food. - great location near the fruit bat trees. - Definitely book the safari with these guys. Asanka was an amazing and caring guide who really seemed to have all the know of where everything was. We saw 28 elephants and two leopards and many more thanks to this guy. 10/10 for the day No negatives. Its not a social place really, but was perfect for us at the time. Just positives for these guys.

Boasting river views, Riverview Cabana Tissamaharama features accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 4.5 km from Tissa Wewa. Great spot to base yourself for Yala Park. The Cabana has 2 rooms available to book, one on the top floor with a terrace and one on the ground floor. My friend and I each booked one of the rooms which are equal in size and amenities. Very clean and a decent shower, good ac and wifi. The host was incredibly friendly and accommodating. She helped us with booking a Yala Park Tour. Best breakfast! Overall, great price and spot for access to Yala.

Offering a garden and lake view, Blue Sky Hotel Yala is located in Yala, 3 km from Tissa Wewa and 28 km from Bundala Bird Sanctuary. The Manager was absolutely amazing and took so much care of us. He made our experience at the place so easy. I recommend !

Mailagama Cinnamon Residence features free WiFi and views of mountain in Sellakataragama. Featuring a concierge service, this property also provides guests with a terrace. My wife and I spent 7 days at Mailagama Cinnamon Residence. The hotel is located in a very beautiful and quiet place in the middle of green rice fields. We loved to walk and there were many routes around - there were large lakes nearby. You meet very few people, just many-many peacocks or a lonely lizard. The hotel is nice looking and comfortable. Our room was clean and large. There was very good hot water pressure, probably the best of the 9 hotels in Sri Lanka where we stayed. Terrace with beautiful views of the surrounding area. There was a large space for working on a laptop, doing yoga and meditation, with fans running. As we are freelancers it was essential for us. We were delighted with the food cooked by two very kind ladies. The hotel manager was incredibly attentive to all our needs, very punctual and obliging. We were also glad to meet the hotel owners. Indira and her husband showed us their cinnamon plantations. It is not like in numerous “Spice gardens”, where they try to sell tourists cinnamon at an increased price. There was a small family production here, which was specially shown to us. You can buy cinnamon, but no one imposes it. We bought some as gifts for our friends. And we were also very grateful to our hosts for driving us along the highway. Within half an hour we met 3 elephants, a herd of buffalo and deer. And this was not a nature reserve, but an ordinary road. On another day we went on a safari to Yala Park. We saw 3 leopards, wild pigs and many other animals. The safari was booked through the hotel, the price was quite normal. Overall, this is one of the best hotels in terms of price-quality. Many people only stay for a day to go on safari, but this place deserves more. We are going to return here next year and recommend this hotel to everyone who likes nature

Located just 2.5 km from Tissa Wewa, Blue Birds Tissa & Yala safari provides accommodation in Tissamaharama with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a 24-hour front desk. Such a wondeful place to stay. The host is so helpful and friendly. He helped us arrange a safari with a very good guide and took us around to local attractions like birdwatching and batwatching and made getting to and from Tissa easy. Good food and clean room.

Boasting lake views, Lake Face Cabana offers accommodation with balcony, around 4.5 km from Tissa Wewa. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. We had such a great stay at Lake Face Cabana! The treehouse is right on the lake where we enjoyed relaxing and bird watching with the sunrise early in the morning. Fantastic food prepared by our hosts who are a very warm and kind family. This was a great spot to head into Yala on safari or just enjoy relaxing from the cabana balcony. We hope to return again one day - Thank you!!

Featuring garden views, V Cabanas features accommodation with terrace, around 2.6 km from Tissa Wewa. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. Nice room, comfy bed, ac and nice bathroom. Staff was super friendly and helpful. They also arranged a nice Yala Safari for us. Highly recommended.

Offering a restaurant and free bikes, MOON LIGHT Guest House is located just 1.1 km from the Tissamaharama Bus Station and 3.2 km from the beautiful Tissa Lake. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the warmest hospitality from Sanjeewa and his family. He picked us up from the railway station and back. Moonlight is located in a peaceful and serene area surrounded by stunning greenery of rise plantations and little green islands of palm trees, which made a truly tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. The room is clean with comfortable beds and all the amenities you need for the stay. Delicious and authentic Sri Lankan cuisine for breakfast and dinner, one of the best we had in SL. His family is expirienced in safary trips, be sure you book with them, you will see all the animals and Sanjeewa will provide you with free lunch, snacks and soft drinks. Overall, we couldn't be happier with our stay, we will come back one day...

Offering a restaurant, Isuru homestay Tissa is located just a 30 minutes to the Yala National Park and 1.3 km from the Tissamaharama Bus Station. The cottage was wonderful. The hosts were exceptional. I have zero complaints.
