Situated in Santa Marta, Viajero Santa Marta Hostel features accommodation with a terrace swimming pool and a rooftop bar with a city view. This hostel is amazing! Much more like a hotel. Lots of social space and activities every night - but it really does depend on the night how busy/ quiet it is in the evenings! Rooftop pool awesome. Rooms super big and clean, curtains for privacy on bed pods and nice staff, food at the restaurant ok too.

Offering a terrace and views of the garden, Masaya Casas Viejas is set 30 minutes away from Minca in the Magdalena Region by 4x4 or motorcycle, and 12 mi from Santa Marta. I was worried we would be too remote from the hub in Minca to really enjoy the area, especially after experiencing the road up to the hostel, but I was wrong. Everything we needed was right there. We were more than happy to hike to all the things we wanted to see but you could just as easily take a moto or 4x4. The food was great. The people were even better. We really didn’t want to leave.

Amazing view, great food, met awesome people. Played football with the locals next door, watched amazing sunsets on the net.

Located in Guachaca, Mendihuaca Surf Camp offers beachfront accommodation a few steps from Guachaca Beach and provides various facilities, such as a garden, a terrace and a bar. It’s a nice place. New and clean and great views and open, breezy rooms.

Boasting a restaurant, Magdalena Beach House is set in the sidewalk in Los Cocos. and also provides a bar and a garden. Guests can enjoy ocean and garden views. Very nice and helpful people who work here. The hotel is surrounded by forest and located a 4-minute walk from the road and 10 minutes from the beach. There are shops and a restaurant along the road. Buses run to and from Tayrona National Park every 20 minutes. The ride also takes a few minutes. The room was clean and spacious with a view of the forest and ocean. An oasis of peace after busy Cartagena. Breakfasts (I chose Colombiano) were prepared immediately before each meal with fresh ingredients. A real treat. I highly recommend this place.

Set in Minca, 18 km from Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, Finca Hostal Bolivar - Casa Quinta offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Nicholas was very helpful. Great views and location close to town and great restaurants. Bit of an uphill walk to Casa Quinta, but worth it.

The Valley Tayrona hostel- A unique social jungle hostel features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and bar in El Zaino. An amazing atmosphere in the middle of jungle and close enough to everything else. Never seen such a clean lodge.The staff, the people and the pets are lovely and it‘s easy to connect with. You definately feel the owner run this place with love. Also the food is very good and they offer a lot of vegan options. Already recommended it to other travelers. Would def come back.

Located in Minca, 31 km from Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, Mano Verde Minca provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. I was in doubt when I found out how far from Minca this location is (from Minca bus terminal 45min by moto) but it was one of the best decisions and favorite stays in Colombia! Staff was very kind (Doris and two girls on their workaway, thank you for everything!), I was lucky enough that on the 1th night I was the only one in the dorm (which btw offers amazing view over Sierra Nevada!), food was really good, place is quite,... so make sure you will come for more than one night :)

Located in El Zaino, La Finca Lorena Tayrona features a garden, terrace, bar, and free WiFi throughout the property. so calm! very kind owners and lovely food. also very close to tayrona (20 min walk)

Located in Santa Marta, less than 1 km from Bahía de Santa Marta Beach, Imagine hostel features air-conditioned rooms and a bar. A hot tub and a bicycle rental service are available for guests. This is a wonderful hostel. The manager and staff are extremely kind and accommodating, and it has a super relaxed vibe. The wifi is excellent, as were the beds, the jacuzzi, and the breakfast. Can't recommend highly enough!
