Located in a panoramic position in the picturesque village of Vico Morcote – a small architectural jewel – and overlooking Lugano Lake, this 17th-century patrician villa has been transformed into a magical and intimate boutique hotel. The Relais features 12 unique bedrooms and suites and is the ideal location for nature lovers and vinophiles as it’s part of the Castello di Morcote wine estate. Relax in the large lounge with fireplace and paneled ceiling in painted wood or in the cozy tea room. An intimate Mediterranean garden welcomes you to relax, sunbathe or sip an aperitif at sunset. Our complimentary buffet breakfast, made with local products, will allow you to discover the taste of our region and our own products. Two restaurants – Vicania, located ten minutes from the Relais immersed in the greenery and La Sorgente - located in the Relais with a splendid terrace- offer the best authentic local cuisine. Our wine estate, Tenuta Castello di Morcote, is a 150-hectare organic farm and wine estate. It is located 800 yards from the Relais and our guests can visit it and enjoy the view of the marvelous seven hectares of terraced vineyards; Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay besides olive groves, broad pastures, and woods. At the center of the estate, in a dominant position, stands the Morcote Castle, a Medieval castle built in the 15th century. While staying with us you will be able to enjoy a variety of exclusive experiences such as wine-tasting, Wine & Dine, and Dinner in the Vineyard under the Stars.
