Loved the feel of the Zona Colonial where we stayed.
Loved the feel of the Zona Colonial where we stayed. Beautiful architecture and historical buildings. Interesting history. Guides on every street corner who with lots of pride and patriotism show you around. Visited Lago Los Tres Ojos really worthwhile. Lots of security. We felt very safe.

El Conde is a nice street to walk on in the day or early evening, just stay as far to the East side as possible. The beaches in Santo Domingo are filled with water garbage, go to Boca Chica if you'd like to actually get wet, but you better pack a lunch because everyone will try to rip you off for literally everything. China Town is nice, try to go during lunch hours on the weekend where they have amazing street food.

The owner/Host was very accommodating with a detailed tour of the entire house on every level. During the tour the host detailed the proper use of the pool functions and I was super happy that my girlfriend was allowed entry prior to my arrival to prep for me. I would definitely recommend this property for a stay.

We enjoyed our 3 full day vacation.
We enjoyed our 3 full day vacation. Great food, nice balance of things to do (historical, nightlife, shopping, recreation). We had an excursion to rappel down several waterfalls. Then we spent 2 days enjoying several different restaurants, walking along the Malecón, visiting the caves of Tres Ojos, and enjoying the weather. We are already looking forward to our next visit! We would recommend the following restaurants: Affogato Cafe, Raymond Mariscos, WTF “What’s That Food”, M7, and Jalao. Honestly all our meals were 10/10. Service was good also and we only know a little Spanish. We enjoyed that there was more than enough to do within walking distance of our hotel in Zona Colonia.

Santo Domingo is an incredible city.
Santo Domingo is an incredible city. You feel the history there and of course it's the people who make the city so vibrant. I was a solo traveller and never ever felt unsafe : everybody was very welcoming to me and I appreciate it a lot. When I arrived, I took the metro: it was clean and easy to understand. There are no electronic machines to buy tickets: you had to buy a ticket at the glass box with a metro worker sitting there.
Zona Colonial is the place to see: very old historic buildings, local cafes are very charming. And of course the University!
I went clubbing at night and OMG, it was so cool. Dominicans know how to do la fiesta.
Everybody told me to be careful when filming with your cellphone outside in the city and watch your bags. I never had any issue with this. I was filming all freely and never felp unsafe. May be I was lucky, I don't know.
I spent only two days there but I will be back for more. And again, it's the people!!! Dominican people!! Free-spirited, music-loving people!!

Santo Domingo is a nice Place to vacate.
Santo Domingo is a nice Place to vacate. Plenty of casinos restaurants and Music, Good price nice people. Zona Colonial is magical at night time with street musicians, show. the food is very good.
Getting around Santo Domingo is best and cheap with UBER. so you get to meet some of the hardworking people and support more the small local people.
Great location at the center of Zona Colonial. The receptionists are always friendly and responsive (in English too), and they were able to store my luggage before check-in (I arrived early). The hotel is very clean.
The room is spacious and comfortable. The shower is great (hot water always available, water pressure is perfect), the bed is comfortable and the WiFi worked great and fast in my room.
No elevator so be prepared to carry your luggage upstairs.
The price is really affordable so overall it’s a great value for money.
Beautiful lobby and impressive hotel and bar. The rooms were smaller and older than I would have expected based on the chic lobby decor. It was a few blocks away from the heart of La Colonia so it was quiet in the evenings. It was still very easy and felt safe to walk to the many restaurants and shops and to see the historic landmarks in Santo Domingo. The breakfast buffet was on the rooftop of the hotel and very nice with lots of warm heartier as well as healthy and fresh options.
Amazing place to stay in Santo Domingo. Big, beautiful rooms, SUPER FAST internet with amazing TV channels, including those from USA like HBO, ESPN, FOX etc. All very clean and tidy. The most important aspect of hotel is its amazing staff. Cristofer will help you with everything, speaks good English for those who aren't fluent in Spanish. He took us all the way to ATM and waited for us. Amazing guy!! Strongly recommend this place and will definetly be back 😉👌🙂
We got into Santo Domingo @ 12:42am. Of course we were tired When we got at the hotel, first of all the street is very dark. No room available despite us booking the room like almost 3 weeks before. However, they sent us around the corner to HOTEL RENACER on AV. Simon Blvd. No. 58, which is in a well lit area and safer than staying at Caribbean.
It is a nice place not too far from the Zona Colonial and right next to the Caribe Tours terminal of Santo Domingo. There is a beautiful rooftop where you have a continental breakfast in the morning and where the jacuzzi is. The staff was very kind and helpful, the equipments are modern and cosy. I enjoyed my night there!
The modern hotel is located in the center of the Zona Colonial. Breakfasts in the hotel restaurant were delicious. The room was comfortable, perfectly clean and cleaned daily with a very comfortable double bed. The bathroom was clean and well equipped. There was a safe in the room. There is an elevator in the hotel.
Great for a quick stop in Santo Domingo! We booked a small room, which turned out to be a very accurate description since there was barely space to go around the bed, but we didn't need anything else to spend the night. The location was perfect to walk around the colonial center and the hotel itself was very cute
Hotel Class Colonial is a very simple, yet amazing and hidden gem right in the center location of the Colonial Zone, my girlfriend and I were there for two nights. We really enjoyed the facilities.
A small hotel, that serves its purpose of giving you a warm and cozy stay in Santo Domingo.
This hotel is my new favorite. Staff speaks English very professional and they attend to your needs. They are very well versed and trained very well. This is the only place from this point forward I will stay, while in Santo Domingo. The location is perfect..
The hotel is well located, very close to the malecon and within walking distance of the old town. I was in Santo Domingo to renew my Residency and it is a short drive direct along the malecon to the Immigration office. It is very good value for money.
The staff was great, the guys at the front desk ere very helpful, professional and friendly. The hotel is close to the main places in Santo Domingo and for me it was the best option as the place that I was going the next day was close it time wise.
Friendly staff and perfect location to walk around Zona Colonial.
Great breakfast.
Beautiful building rich of history of memories, also with a nice patio.
Parking in the street in front of the hotel possible.
I stayed many times at this hotel when I come to Santo Domingo, and I'm always happy with what I get. Big rooms, nice staff, perfectly located, and one the cheapest price in la Zona for this kind of hotels.
Contemporary room was clean, updated and very comfortable for sleeping. Hotel has a nice big courtyard in the middle which is a nice haven in the middle of Santo Domingo. Staff were very helpful.
Excellent location for exploring the Colonial zone. Beautiful hotel ambiance. The food and service in the bar was excellent....visited there several times.
My room was clean and the staff was very friendly. If I ever visit Santo Domingo again, I would definitely stay at the El Embajador, a Royal Hideaway Hotel.
Good location, good wifi, AC even in winter (most hotels in Dominican Republic turn off the AC for the winter months even though it's still hot and humid.
This center hotel as financial district in Santo Domingo offer high quality of services, brand new facilities, friendly staff.i will like come back soon!!!!
