Dinard is a great location for a family beach holiday but also for visiting the numerous sites of interests in that region of Brittany and Normandy. Whilst there, we visited St Malo, Le Mont St Michel, Dinan, Fort La Latte and Le Val-Andre amongst many others. Lots of history but also countryside. Great boat trips from Dinard to lots of places. Easy to get around on foot - lovely Promenade Du Clair de Lune which followed the coast around the bay.

Dinard is a hidden gem very close to St. Malo.
Dinard is a hidden gem very close to St. Malo. It is an elegant seaside resort with wide and clean sand beaches. The town itself is spotless and very well managed, apparently very affluent as houses are big and well maintained.

We've been here so many times, and never tire of it. We tried some different restaurants this year as well as our "old faithfuls" and had decent grub every time for reasonable cost.
The weather was stinking hot, but we were 5 minutes down the steps to St Enogat beach which is the best beach in Dinard for swimming in my opinion. The tide times were OK and we got two late afternoon almost full tide swims (roughest waves we've ever had there - got knocked off my feet the second swim!), and a gorgeous morning half tide swim in the calmest sea and hardly anyone on the beach. Go again? You bet!

A fantastic, buzzy town, perfect for a night’s stay before the ferry trip home from St Malo. Good shops and restaurants and the beach front was ‘happening’ with live music, stalls etc (on a Sunday in August).

I spent a few days in Dinard at the Annual British Film Festival. The atmosphere was wonderful and it was great that everything was in walking distance. A truly unique place, which I would have no hesitation in recommending to others. Beautiful walks, beaches and culture.
Perfectly located in a quiet street but just a few minutes walk from the centre of Dinard.
An excellent continental breakfast in a generously-sized room (the latter not always the case in smaller hotels!).
Small but perfectly formed bathroom.
Very helpful and friendly staff.
A plethora of splendid restaurants and bars nearby and even a cycle hire shop just around the corner.
Highly recommended.
Recommended restaurants: La Passerelle, Avenue George V and Le Balafon, Rue de la Vallée.
I liked that the villa is located near the beach. The beach was lovely and the sand was a welcome change to experience. Furthermore, there is a good number of shops and restaurants within walking distance from the villa. This makes it a good and convenient place to stay on a short, calm holiday, with a focus on the beach and Dinard. However, if you want to get to other places often, like Saint Malo or other places, then a car might be required.
Well equipped, cozy little appartment on 2 floors. It was November and appartment was very quiet (it may be noisier in the summer months). Location is about 30 mins walk from Dinard centre but we came with our bikes which is ideal to see the area. Good small kitchen and Internet TV with Netflix (good for rainy evenings in Brittany!). Reserved parking place for 1 car.
I couldn't afford any breakfast because I was forced to accept a booking in an extremely expensive room, which I tried in vain to change through the hotel and booking.com. They both blamed each other, but in the end, it was the hotel who said I couldn't change my booking in any way. So, I watched the other guests eating breakfast every day while I went hungry.
The house we stayed in was totally renovated, very nice and clean. Location was perfect, very beautiful beaches and see sight, just a walk of 100m and you could see the beach. House owner is very friendly as the people in Dinard.
It was one of our best vacations ever.
Warm welcome from staff and tour of hotel including its history. Private spacious terrace with gorgeous and interesting views of the water and ferry. Splendid swimming pool. Excellent bar and restaurant.
Hotel was clean and people were very friendly. Comfortable bed. The location was amazing! Super cute street with shops and nice places to eat. Also close to the beach.
Very atmospheric hotel, lovely welcoming, great restaurant-- ate their both nights, original attire worn by servers, very cordial, decent prices gorgeous views.
