Raise your wine glass and toast to the beautiful city of Bordeaux on the banks of the Garonne River. Having produced wine since the 8th century, it’s fair to say the second largest wine producer in the world is worth the trip for the vin alone. The city itself has spread outwards, rather than upwards, and the result is a very pretty town centre, filled with stone mansions and terraced housing comparable to Paris.
Cultured Bordeaux is filled with museums such as the Museum of Contemporary Art and Musee D'Aquitaine. The streets provide an equally interesting exhibition of fine architecture including the Victory Arch and the Aquitaine Bridge.
On the shores of the river lies the Les Chartrons district, which is a blend of ferry boat rides, picturesque views and buzzing nightlife while the pubs and cafes in the La Victoire district are frequented by students.
A tour of the famous vineyards is probably on the itinerary and this can be accomplished by visiting the wineries and châteaux privately or as part of a tour. You can also worship the wine gods at the Bordeaux Wine Festival held during the summer.
Visitors can easily make the short trip to the heart of Bordeaux from the Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport. With 70 hotels and bed & breakfasts available, Booking.com allows you to discover the vibrant and friendly heart of the vineyard region.
Absolutely amazing city! It's lively and just so beautiful.
Absolutely amazing city! It's lively and just so beautiful. I could have spend another few days exploring everything it has to offer. Highly recommend Mama Shelter for drinks or food. It's a great rooftop bar with wonderful views and a perfect place to relax when the weather is nice.
I also did a wine tour of Saint-Emillion and wished I had time to do others. This is a dream destination for anyone, but especially those that want to explore wine, of course.

I recommend Bordeaux for its rich history, stunning architecture, and exquisite wine. The region's picturesque vineyards, quaint villages, and cultural heritage offer a delightful experience for travelers like myself who appreciate wine, gastronomy, and history. Exploring iconic landmarks such as Place de la Bourse and the Bordeaux Cathedral adds to the charm of this enchanting destination.

Great place to visit with lots to do and see.
Great place to visit with lots to do and see. We went for the big Quinconces antiques fair, Imax cinema and the Bassines de Lumiere Tintin which was excellent. Ate in Irish Malone's pub as served food until 10.30pm. Only drawback is Parking which is very expensive, roughly about 20-25 euros a day.
Gorgeous boutique hotel. Loved the decor and trendy ambience, but still inviting and comfortable.
In a perfect location, in a quiet street yet only a nice 10 minute stroll into the centre. Plus on departure day it was just a 2 minute walk to the Tram stop to go direct to the airport in 30 minutes.
Staff were lovely and helpful. Room was very well appointed with excellent bedding, huge shower room with lovely toiletries and immaculately clean.
Would 100% recommend and would stay here again when back in Bordeaux.
Situated in a really quiet spot down a side street, but within walking distance of Bordeaux City Centre which is gorgeous with lots of bars, restaurants, stunning architecture and history. When we moved into the hotel we were in the midst of a medical emergency with our son who had been admitted to hospital. Every single one of the hotel team made us feel cared for and supported during what was an extremely stressful time for our family, and went above and beyond to help us in any way they could.

The breakfast at this elegant B&B near Bordeaux, France was quintessentially French. There were croissants and baguettes, homemade jams, yogurt, fresh squeezed orange juice, and coffee. The breakfast was definitely a highlight.
Le Clos des Queyries proximity to the tram going into downtown Bordeaux is also a huge plus. You can park your car in their private secured parking area and walk to the tram and be in the historic centre in less than 15 minutes.
Fabulous boutique hotel in the heart of Bordeaux. The staff was very attentive and provided great service and recommendations for restaurants. Prior to the trip, I had requested two all-day tours in wine country with lunch reservations. they selected great Chateaus to visit, reserved wonderful lunches and scheduled a private car and driver for both days. These tours were the highlight of our trip to Bordeaux. Breakfast was served in our suite every morning.
Beautiful boutique-style hotel with a great staff! Our overnight in Bordeaux was just meant as a stopover but we enjoyed the city and Hotel Singulier so much we definitely plan to go back. The location allows for an easy walk to restaurants, shops, and historical sites. We found a terrific outdoor market while strolling along the river. The room was clean and comfortable. Capucine was a wonderful host and makes a delicious breakfast bread too!
We were in Bordeaux for one night and Hotel La Maison was the perfect spot. After arriving early ahead of our planned wine tour that day, reception went above and beyond to ensure we could check in early and even upgraded our room after learning we were on our honeymoon. Staff were beyond kind and helped book a dinner reservation for us too! Beautiful boutique hotel, gorgeous outdoor area and just a short walk from the busy centre of town.
Villas Foch is a fabulous boutique hotel in a great location...quiet, yet close to everything in Bordeaux. We walked to town, to the river and to Cite du Vin. Very accommodating staff and excellent service. The bar was well appointed and comfortable for our nightcaps. Breakfast was tremendous, but there are cafe's next door if it's just for coffee. Great base for exploring all the wineries of Bordeaux. Highly recommended
Seeko’o is an amazing hotel for anyone visiting Bordeaux. It is nice, modern, very clean and very comfortable. Breakfast is very good. Located a very short walk from the Cite du Vin and just steps away from the tram station that will take you to the city center (another option is a pleasant walk).
I wouldn’t hesitate staying here again during my next visit to Bordeaux!
the location of the hotel is good, there is a tram station right out the hotel. very near to city center close to wine museum in Bordeaux. staff are very friendly there, we arrived earlier than check in time but they allowed us to go into our room earlier so we don’t have to carry our luggage around the city. breakfast was beautiful, with lots of options and bio foods.
The Boutique Hotel offers a great balance of elegant and modern rooms. With only six rooms the boutique hotel offers great privacy! I can recommend this hotel to anyone who’s looking for a fancy and comfortable stay in the middle of Bordeaux. The best part of the hotel is the roof top terrace with a beautiful breakfast when the sun is shining.
George was an excellent host and he provided us with all the information we needed to navigate around the city and experience all of the best things Bordeaux has to offer. The accommodation was excellent too and we felt we had so much space to relax in the hotel. The air-con was also great which is a must in France in the summer time.
The rooms were a bit dated, but spacious enough for 2 people. There are lots of parking spaces available and the garage itself has the most convenient entrance I came across during my road-trip through France - something big car owners care about :) There’s also a great Italian restaurant in front of the hotel.
this is super great apartment! the best that we've ever rented in France so far. It exceeded our expectations. and it was firs apartment where there was no this feeling that host is trying to save on you: there was good quality soap, breakfast included, bed sheets and towels were white and clean.
The hotel is excellent. We were welcomed by Anton and he was a really kind and helpful person. The hotel room is excellent with night view of Opera. The location is right by the heart of Bordeaux. The best part of the trip was the Spa. Amazing Spa design and really relaxing experience.
The Boutique Hotel Bordeaux is a wonderful hotel. The staff provides the very best service. The hotel furnishing are of the finest quality and all amenities are most comfortable. We highly recommend this excellent hotel.
The location was close to the train station which was convenient since we were traveling around France by train. However, the hotel it quite a ways away from center city.
