Hotel Manoir is my favorite type of European hotel, an old villa that has been renovated enough to be comfortable while still retaining its charm with decor to match. The corner room was lovely, with nice airflow through both windows and a view of the rooftops and vineyards beyond. The room was quite spacious, with nice cozy lighting, a table and chairs and a desk as well. The bathroom was also a decent size. I had requested a room with one double bed, and while this was no longer available on arrival ( I had booked last minute) the front desk was happy to accomodate my request for a bathtub instead. The tub was large with a nice window as well. There are self service drinks available for a very affordable fee near the front desk. While I did not participate in the breakfast, it looked amazing and the breakfast room itself is very charming. Overall it was the perfect little weekend escape and I would definitely return.

On the famous Alsace Wine Route, halfway between Strasbourg and Colmar, this 20th-century manor features elegantly decorated guest rooms. Some rooms offer a balcony with a view of the vineyards. The elegant guest rooms, decorated in Belle Epoque-style, are equipped with a TV and a telephone. All rooms have a private bathroom. Free Wi-Fi access is available throughout the Le Manoir. A buffet breakfast is served every morning at Hôtel Le Manoir, and can be taken on the terrace overlooking the grounds. There are many restaurants serving Alsatian cuisine just a 5-minute walk from the hotel. With free public parking on site, Barr Train Station is just half a mile away. The medieval Haut-Kœnigsbourg Castle is 12 miles from the hotel.
Couples in particular like the location – they rated it 8.9 for a two-person trip.
