The room was very small and the bathroom had a horrible smell we swapped rooms the next morning. A great location but it was very tired looking. The staff were lovely but the place needs decorating and the carpets replacing. For another 20 euros you can stay at places like Hotel Normandie or the Best Western.

Raise your wine glass and toast to the beautiful city of Bordeaux on the banks of the Garonne River. Having produced wine since the 8th century, it’s fair to say the second largest wine producer in the world is worth the trip for the vin alone. The city itself has spread outwards, rather than upwards, and the result is a very pretty town centre, filled with stone mansions and terraced housing comparable to Paris.
Cultured Bordeaux is filled with museums such as the Museum of Contemporary Art and Musee D'Aquitaine. The streets provide an equally interesting exhibition of fine architecture including the Victory Arch and the Aquitaine Bridge.
On the shores of the river lies the Les Chartrons district, which is a blend of ferry boat rides, picturesque views and buzzing nightlife while the pubs and cafes in the La Victoire district are frequented by students.
A tour of the famous vineyards is probably on the itinerary and this can be accomplished by visiting the wineries and châteaux privately or as part of a tour. You can also worship the wine gods at the Bordeaux Wine Festival held during the summer.
Visitors can easily make the short trip to the heart of Bordeaux from the Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport. With 70 hotels and bed & breakfasts available, Booking.com allows you to discover the vibrant and friendly heart of the vineyard region.
City was very quiet usually. The tram system and excellent buses meant very few cars around. I would describe Bordeaux as a very nice, clean, well organized, sustainable well run city with lots of designer shops and all the usual multinational chains. Wine dominates in Bordeaux like Golf does in St Andrews. The wine tour of St Emilion village and local vineyard showed how Bordeaux has become so wealthy over the centuries.
Really enjoyed the trip but probably not one best suited to a younger audience.
Probably won't go back, saw what we wanted to see in 5 days.

Arrived on a Friday - Bordeaux was buzzing. Plenty of cafe culture happening all around, the weather was very kind so we were able to stroll down by the river, take in some of the beautiful squares and monuments and enjoy a great steak supper.

Very beautiful city center, full of history.
Very beautiful city center, full of history. The bridge over the river is beautiful. If you go to Bordeaux for couple of days reserve a 4-5 hour slot to visit Dune du Pilat, the biggest sand dune in Europe, it is at the Atlantic , aprox 60 km from Bordeaux. Also, Bordeaux wine and chateaux.

Absolutely amazing city! It's lively and just so beautiful.
Absolutely amazing city! It's lively and just so beautiful. I could have spend another few days exploring everything it has to offer. Highly recommend Mama Shelter for drinks or food. It's a great rooftop bar with wonderful views and a perfect place to relax when the weather is nice.
I also did a wine tour of Saint-Emillion and wished I had time to do others. This is a dream destination for anyone, but especially those that want to explore wine, of course.

Bordeaux is a great city. So much to do and see.
Bordeaux is a great city. So much to do and see. Transport links superb. Although most sights are walkable. For a city restaurants etc. reasonably priced and great variety. People friendly and helpful. What more could you ask for.
The staff at L'Apparthôtel Particulier Bordeaux was the most lovely welcome to France. Everyone was friendly and warm immediately and throughout our whole stay. The 3 staff members were all women - who carried our very heavy bags up a flight of stairs - and I was impressed and thankful! The quality of the room was out of a dream. Opening the windows and looking outside felt like a dream. We slept well even though we were in such a convenient location -- noise was not a bother. We would absolutely stay here again.
Situated in a really quiet spot down a side street, but within walking distance of Bordeaux City Centre which is gorgeous with lots of bars, restaurants, stunning architecture and history. When we moved into the hotel we were in the midst of a medical emergency with our son who had been admitted to hospital. Every single one of the hotel team made us feel cared for and supported during what was an extremely stressful time for our family, and went above and beyond to help us in any way they could.
,
I feel like we got so lucky in our family of 6 being able to stay here. From beginning to end Guillaume made us feel so welcome. His recommendations and his aid in setting up rides was invaluable. The rooms were huge, very clean and well air conditioned. The wifi worked very well - which we learned throughout our time in France is not always the case. Everything about our stay in Bordeaux was perfect and I can’t recommend Les Seraphines enough.
The hotel seems brand new and it is very clean. There are toiletries at reception and you can help yourself to shampoo, lotion, and soap which is really nice. The hotel is about 40 minutes walk from the city center which is fine for those who don't mind walking and there is also plenty of buses and trams to get you there. The hotel is very close to the main train station in Bordeaux. Staff are very nice.
The location is outside the City Center. It’s about a 3 euro tram ride to the centre and takes about eight or nine minutes which could easily walk if you don’t mind doing that. We return to Bordeaux week later and we decide to spend the extra 15 euro a night and found a spot located in the old quarter. It wasn’t quite as nice a hotel with the trade-off giving us a better location was worth it.
The room was great. The bed was comfortable, and the breakfast in the morning was worth the price. I loved that it was within walking distance of many shops, monuments, and beautiful sights. After getting to the hotel, I could walk to every destination I wanted to see, and even after I checked out, the train station was only a 35-minute walk. This is my favorite hotel I have stayed in France.
This property had the largest living room with a 12 foot ceiling of any of my stays during a two week trip to Spain and France. It was very centrally located in old town Bordeaux and was a short walk to many of the sights we had on our list to see while in Bordeaux. The host was very accommodating and helpful with a great suggestion on getting to the airport cheaply.
It's a wonderful little old-school Hotel in the City Center of Bordeaux. It really feels nice to get a real key to open your room! It's located just a few meters away from the shops and restaurants, but the street of the hotel is very quiet. I haven't stayed in a property like this in ages, and at an amazing value. The "petit dejouner" was good enough.
It is a oasis in a bustling city, with its interior courtyard with roses and other flowers climbing the walls. An when you leave you step out and look left at the beautiful towers of the greatest cathedral in Southwest France. And with a top level boulangerie just a block away and a tram stop another block away. It's the perfect location in Bordeaux.
The Boutique Hotel offers a great balance of elegant and modern rooms. With only six rooms the boutique hotel offers great privacy! I can recommend this hotel to anyone who’s looking for a fancy and comfortable stay in the middle of Bordeaux. The best part of the hotel is the roof top terrace with a beautiful breakfast when the sun is shining.
Wonderful airport shuttle. Location is so convenient to CDG. The hotel has a lively lounge and outside space enjoyed by many. The hotel is about 500m from lovely restaurants in Roissy en France and also a park. The room is small and the hotel is under the flight path but this is expected at an airport hotel. Efficient and affordable.
location easy off the A630, in comercial area with several more hotels of the same kind. restaurant was open for dinner! across was a BB restaurant so food no problem. breakfast as usual woitj Campanila and France. Perfectly fine, nothing to complain about. staff very helpful.
Very nice, comfortable B&B. Close to tram and within walking distance to city centre (long walk). Nice breakfast and very nice staff. The proprietors were very accommodating regarding an early checkin and they made me a breakfast for my very early departure for my flight.
Decent clean room, good air conditioning and extra pillows. Underground car parking in Carrefour, 9 euros a day
Great location for exploring Bordeaux city centre but lovely little cafés and restos in the Bastide area around the hotel. Fab boulangerie next to the hotel.
Comfortable bed. Funky basin and shower. Very clean. Great location near train station and tram stop out the front of the hotel in to old centre of Bordeaux . Very friendly staff at your request. Beer. Coffee. Lounge area to relax or work.
As many have said before, this hotel would be nothing without its incredible staff. I’ve yet to stay in a hotel in France with better staff. They are incredible. The music at night is superb. It’s funky with a great vibe.
Good and clean hotel close to the main railway station. Excellent location for travelers using train to places in the environs of Bordeaux. Good breakfast and very friendly staff.
Lovely boutique hotel in the heart of Bordeaux. From the Dyson hair dryer to the the artsy contemporary furnishings and the amazing staff, this hotel is a 10!
