Lovely little city with many interesting stories to tell. Definitely check out the Tuesday night free tours they offer every week (in different languages). Very informative and cool! We didn't eat there, there were too many people. Do not go to the upper town/city center by car at night! Just park in the lower city and walk. Labin old town is nice for a walk, make sure you avoid the hot midday hours. Loads of restaurants and cafes around. Make sure to try Rumore, but do make a reservation if you are planning to eat during rush hour! Supermarkets and other shops, banks etc. all in the 'new' part of town.

We were passing through on a bicycle tour and it had been raining heavily all day, we were looking for cheap accommodation , we arrived late and left early so didn’t see Labin except for a good Pizza a few minutes walk away.

Not a lot to the modern part but Old Labin is unique with a history and atmosphere all of its own - great, reasonably priced restaurants [including Ramore, allegedly the best pizzeria in Croetia] and spectacular views.

Locaty is great, but to go for dinner you need to drive, so no drinking for the driver. The interior decoration is not so original, very coperate. But you don’t want to spent much time inside anyway, the terrace is great, and everything is there for cooking dinner etc. Tv internet etc.

There are a more things to see Labin than other hilltop...
There are a more things to see Labin than other hilltop towns, take it slow and easy and enjoy the day. Taste the local drinks and food, each place to eat has a specialty. The cake in the cafe is way above average. There is a guitar player that needs someone to listen to him, consider paying him to play for a while, everyone wins!

We want to thanks, especially, Mensura who has been the best host ever. She gave us tips with a good enthusiasm and she was really caring! If I were her boss I would give her a raise! Our good value room was in an old building (but modernised) a few minutes walk from the restaurant/hotel reception. Adjacent free parking. Good restaurant with good breakfast including fruit and eggs to order on a terrace overlooking the valley below (good grilled vegetables). Labin is a gem of an old town with interesting street art.

It is well-equipped and the sea view from the big balcony is beautiful. There are many friendly cats in the neighbourhood, everybody can pet them. We walked down to Rabac, it took 1 hour, (back obviously more :) ) but it is a beautiful trip. By car Rabac about 15 minutes, Labin 20. Sanja, the owner is very kind and helpful.FranciskaHungary

Multiple beaches in close proximity and the square in Labin has nice places to eat. Would definitely recommend Napoli and Velo Restaurant.
