The surrounding area has a lot to offer and is sure to make your holiday one of a kind. Trilj is an ideal destination for an active vacation. Horseback riding, cycling, or hiking are the best ways to truly experience the beauties of the Trilj area. We suggest you to visit the source of the river Grab and hike to the mountain Kamešnica. Rafting, canyoning and kayaking are just some of the activities on the Cetina River. For day trips you can choose between numerous Dalmatian islands (Brac - 1 h 30 min; Hvar - 3 h), Krka National Park (1 h drive), Plitvice Lakes National Park (2 h 30 min), Makarska Riviera with beautiful beaches and Biokovo Nature Park (1 h driving). Whether you are willing to swim in the sea or in the river, you can, the nearest beaches are half an hour away. Also, nearby are UNESCO-protected sites such as Split (30 min), Trogir (40 min), Dubrovnik (2 h), the island of Hvar, etc. While in neighboring Bosnia and Herzegovina, the city of Mostar is nearby (1h 30 min) and Medjugorje (1h 20 min).
