Dublin might not seem as likeable or picturesque as other European cities, but has its own undeniable charm that lingers in your memory long after you leave it. Public transport is not the best, we struggled a bit with the system and witht the TFI app, but generally ok. Public toilets are hard to find (if there are any). The Book of Kells exhibition at Trinity College was excellent and the Jameson's Whiskey Distillery is not to be missed. Grafton Street shopping lovely and St Stephens Green is a beautiful place to visit . Everyone we met were friendly and helpful . Not been to Dublin for some years and would definatley go back as so much to see and do. Arlington Hotel , Batchelors Walk provides great location, staff and food so lovely and the entertainment is fantastic ,especially the The Celtic Nights evening ...singers , dancers and food provide a lovely Irish welcoming evening . I needed a plug in charging unit to accommodate my US devices and where I had previously stayed in SW Ireland, both hotels and supplied same. Gabriel overheard my conversation w one of your desk staff, saw I was mildly annoyed, came up and offered help, to wit: he offered me the use of HIS charger plug in during the duration of my trip. That was gracious and he clearly was a very customer oriented manager. That was extremely appreciated.

The price was pretty reasonable for Ireland (although it's usually much higher). Staff are usually helpful. Restaurant was also good.

It costs €10 a night extra, but well worth it. It's close to city centre and transit systems. I'd recommend this to anyone.
