We had expected off the road parking but there was parking outside in easy reach. The town was a peaceful place. . Breakfast at the Daybreak was served by welcoming people. Beds were comfortable. Bedlinen and towels were well cared for . Soap and shower gel provided . The shower strength was rather gentle so for those with long hair it took a long time to rinse out shampoo.

Kitchen and sitting room furniture hard and uncomfortable.

Kitchen and sitting room furniture hard and uncomfortable. Sitting room furniture broken down so you have to 'climb' out. TV never worked, even though we reported it to the owner. Beds in all bedrooms very uncomfortable and pillows all hard and flat. the only place to get food is the gas station/shop. Several pubs but no food served. No WIFI! this is hard to believe in this day and age. Description misleading about amenities; distances to other towns not great, but all roads are narrow and bumpy, so it takes longer to get anywhere. Upstairs toilet groaned very loudly every time it was flushed, making sleeping difficult for all. Wood burning stove, downstairs bath room, refrigerator/freezer good. Washing machine OK but didn't go to spin cycle automatically. Had to turn it to Spin. We left 2 days early because it was so uncomfortable. I asked hopefully if we could get a refund for those 2 days but Sykes Cottages has a policy that we were not aware of. No refund because we did not contact them about the cottage and give them an opportunity to find another place to stay. This doesn't seem like good customer service. A partial refund would have been nice as a good will gesture. We will not stay in Roseville cottage or Sykes accommodations again.
