Our main purpose was to visit Thyaraja Aradhanai at nearby Thiruvaiyaru. This was served. Our local sightseeing was to Brahadeeswarar temple. This is more a public monument than a temple. Frankly, the upkeep and maintenance of the precincts was disappointing! The place is not tourist friendly. The locker room for footwear was too congested and dirty. You have to brave it out barefoot! The tourists lack civic sense. Even inside the sanctum sanctorium of the Shiva temple, we could see huge cobwebs and big spiders!

It has so many historical and spiritual places to see and learn about. Sadly those beautiful monuments after the holidays ended up with tons of garbage. Very sad to see.
Tamil Nadu is an amazing state in India, so much history, so much culture. Love Thanjavur!

Wonderful city to be in with fascinating temples, architecture, culture and hospitable people. Would recommend at least 2-3 days if only visiting this city, and probably 7-8 days if combining the trip with other must-see cities such as Kumbakonam and Thiruchirappalli. High energy temples, culture-filled museums, tasty fare in local restaurants, beautiful art forms and their famous coffee are what I'd recommend.

The Royal Palace was interesting with a great short film of all the attractions and history of the area in the library. The temple was fantastic and we used to go there early in the morning and after 4pm as the sun was going down. A very peaceful and calm place.

Thanjavur is a place for people who venture and explore to learn about history, Architecture, Temples and the ancient practices. The town is small but has very good vegetarian outlets. Good place to buy artefacts but please buy only in authorized outlets.
The museum is not well maintained but gives an insight of the Maratha rule. The greenery around is the one which you will enjoy if you travel away from the town and see around.
I checked in to the hotel after midnight and the staff was available. The rooms were clean and big. I liked the dim bedlights.
Everything was functional - Water Heater, Air Conditioner and TV. The hotel staff allowed us to keep our luggage after check-out so we could explore the city. Good room service!
The location is 1.5 km from the bus stop and 4.5 km from the Thanjavur Brihadeshwara Temple. The hotel staff also assisted us in getting an auto-rickshaw to take us to the UNESCO temple.
The staff were readily available and displayed pleasant and helpful hospitality. The facilities were also of good quality from bed to ac to washroom etiquette. Free RO water and wifi also was available as promised.
After checking out the facility, I received call from ground staff that I had left my watch. He offered to courier the same and keep it safe for me.
I liked this honest and genuine approach and will definetly recommend this property to anyone visiting Thanjavur :)
Location is a little away from the bustle of Thanjavur - so may not be great if you want to live in the heart of the city. In the room and restaurant, be prepared for mosquitoes. Room is scooper spacious. Restaurant is without AC - but with fans and kinda overlooking a river. They do serve alcohol. Property has ample space to walk and cycle. The bathroom is also massive. Some rooms are a little far and require a fair bit of walking.
The room was clean and looked good. The hotel interiors were good as well. The staff were courteous. The location was good - Thanjavur temple is walkable (less than a km, probably not walkable for elder people). The (South Indian) breakfast included in the room rent was pretty reasonable. The restaurant in the hotel had a good menu and we ate from there a couple of times during our 2 day stay.
Excellent staff, modern clean rooms that were similar in standard to hotels in Europe. Comfy bed and nice to have shower gel etc in dispensers on the wall rather than the single use things. Underground parking for bicycles was a bonus for us on our tandem. They even brought us a fridge up to our room when we asked if they had somewhere to keep our drinks cooled.
Secured parking with washing facility. it's a room in an apartment, with attached bathroom and geyser is there. Hall with sofa and kitchen space available but need to share with the other room. If we book a full apartment we have the privacy to use the living room and kitchen. For a family traveler it's the best hotel ( service apartment) near the temple.
Nice stay. I enjoyed being there with my family
Good atmosphere and a family place. Complimentary
Breakfast was normal. But I expected a little bit more. But overall a very pleasant stay and I recommend this place for Thanjavur visit. .
Thanks to booking com. Your reviews most of the time represent reality. Please keep up
The Hotel located in the Prime location but bit walkable from Bustand.
Not visible from outside. The Rooms are compact and good thing is separate bath room and toilet which is normally noy in any big holtels.
Had a brilliant stay. Cannot fault hotel. It was clean, in a good location, the staff were extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend and would certainly stay here again
