Quiet, traditional hotel close to the colosseum, great staff, amazing breakfast, Francesca is amazing in proving help and replying to all questions. I am a frequent visitor to Rome for many years (twice a year), and usually stay at Trastevere or Campo dei Fiori, this time for new years I decided to stay at Lancelot, also because I am a travel designer specialist in Italy, and I am always testing new hotels for my clients. Lancelot will be in my list of hotels.
Mozambique
Just 350 metres from the Coliseum, Hotel Lancelot offers a furnished terrace and garden, panoramic views of the surrounding monuments, and an on-site restaurant. WiFi is free throughout. Each with a unique design, rooms at the Lancelot are all air conditioned and include satellite TV, and a private bathroom with hairdryer. Some have extra-long beds. An Italian and continental breakfast is served daily at the Lancelot Hotel. The bar is open 24-hours a day, and guests also have a TV and reading lounge. The surrounding area is full of typical wine bars, restaurants and ice cream parlours. The archaeological ruins of the Roman Forum are just 5 minutes' walk away, and you will have excellent Metro and bus links around the city.
Couples particularly like the location — they rated it 9.6 for a two-person trip.
