Explore the extraordinary countryside near Florence by staying in this Tuscan dream Villa situated on the hill above Piazzale Michelangelo offering exceptional views on the Chianti. The drive to this enchanting location takes you to a gravel driveway flowing down the hill through an olive grove where a flat and spacious car park opens up in front of the western side of the Villa. GROUND FLOOR On this side, a private glass door entrance with a front terrace enters a comfortable living & dining room with original terracotta floors. There is a sofa and a fireplace in the living/dining room. The Dining room enters the kitchen, which gives onto a private patio with sitting area. The picturesque bathroom with a small bath has a washing machine. FIRST FLOOR The master bedroom is located on the first floor with adjoining recently upgraded WC and shower shared with the second newly renovated bedroom. SECOND FLOOR On the second floor, the Attic, there is a hallway with single bed giving into a third bedroom with double bed. The hallway room can be used as a single bedroom with its own terrace from which breathtaking views on the Chianti can be enjoyed.
Alexandre and Veronica are happy to host and share the large property with guests from all over the world while taking care of their two children, Edoardo now 3 years old and 1 year old Sveva.
Pian De'Giullari, or Arcetri, is a quiet and exclusive hillside neigbourhood in Florence where Galileo Galilei was exiled in the 1600's and where he has spent years observing the stars. His observatory is now part of the Faculty of Phisics and his house is opposite Omero, the local Trattoria/shop. The little village is surrounded by private residential villas covering most of the plateau carved with narrow streets and stone walls. Chianti starts here, on the highest Florentine hill south of the Arno river protected by the Belle Arti to preserve the historical hills, olive groves and vineyards that inspired Renaissance artists like Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci. It is ideal for walks and cycling, there are medieval churches to visit and the only shop is at Omero's trattoria, the local grastronomic highlight also known worldwide.
