FAMILY HISTORY The Castel di Pugna estate was founded in the first twentieth century as indicated by the wine vintages jealously kept in the cellars dug in the tuff and in the foundations of the Castle of pugna (already existent in 1189, burned and almost completely destroyed by Florentines before the Battle of Monteaperti in 1259). The founder, Count Carlo Alberto Fumi Cambi Gado, an excellent viticulturist with passion (today handed down to his son Luigi Alberto), choose the best of each vintage, producing a wine of excellent quality.

HISTORICAL RESIDENCE - VILLA CAMBI In the oldest part of the Roman Castle dating back to the XII century are located three elegantly decorated rooms. The spacious rooms are equipped with all kinds of comforts, wifi, air condition, fridge, mini bar, and LCD TV , private bathroom with shower and hairdryer. Each room distinguishes itself by the colors of its furniture as well as in its artistically color-washed walls The panoramic swimming pool is at the disposal of our guests from May to October. In the central part of the estate, the barn and outbuildings will be at the disposal of the guests of the “Agriturismo”. There are three very special apartments, remind of the warmth of old Tuscan farm houses without lacking the comfort of interiors wisely decorated in any detail in order to satisfy our demanding clients.

TASTING Vineyard (14 acres) and olive (3 acres) surround the vital core of the winery, vinification and aging. In this quiet setting we take guided tours and tastings with the finest wines: Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG, Chianti Superiore DOCG, IGT Super Tuscan, accompanied by cold meats, cheeses and bruschetta with extra virgin Castelpugna WINE EVENTS The restaurant barn of Castelpugna offers to the guests a typical menu and grilled meats in the traditional fireplace. Food events and themed evenings are held at the Castel di Pugna in the name of development of the area of Tuscany. The wide open spaces around the historical castle are available for exclusive events like Weddings and meetings and incentives.
