This place is a real gem...booked one night and ended up staying for 2. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the owner, Nate is very personable and friendly, too. My room had everything you would need...actually it was just like being at home. My bed was super comfortable and there were plenty of towels etc. and the place was spotlessly clean. Location, location, location...tops. Congratulations to all at MB... Loved my stay

This was our last 4 night stay in New Zealand. We stayed in the Penthouse suite. Yes it was more expensive, but worth every penny. Great views !! You can see the beautiful sunsets, and gaze at the stars at night while sitting on the wrap around balcony. There were 3 patio doors in which you could open to let the cool breeze in. Even the kitchen window had a view ! Which made kitchen duties more pleasurable. The kitchen had a gas stove , no oven, microwave, good size fridge with freezer that had ice cubes in it. There were 3 beds.. we only used 1 bed. And it was very comfortable. The bathroom was a nice size, with a shower, no bath. It was so nice we did not want to leave and explore around the area. But we did. There is a beautiful beach about a block away. You can walk for miles. We had a car rental but we did see a bus go by, so we think you could take a bus into town. The manager of this hotel "Rochelle" is very nice, One of the best managers I have met. She was very helpful and always smiled and said hi when we walked by.

Stayed there recently as a stop over and it was lovely. The motel is a five minute walk to bars and restaurants and the suites come fully equipped with a kitchenette and plenty of towels.
