Berlin is an amazing city!
Berlin is an amazing city! It’s such a quirky place and isn’t really like anywhere we have been before in Europe. It feels like a really cultured, individual and expressive city and has a great vibe about it. It is absolutely massive city though & to see various places you do need to use transport BUT it’s pretty simple and google maps does it all for you! Transport is way better than UK public transport but you will need it! We didn’t visit too many of the museums as we were happy walking around seeing the city. There’s so much going on particularly at the weekends. Lots of random little places with events on or music on the streets & the flea markets too! The flea markets were HUGE and there is so many of them on a Sunday! The food was incredible too & to our surprise there was lots of vegan and vegetarian options! We were spoilt for choice by all of the food places! Great vibe at the food places too as lots of outdoor seating! Wonderful places to visit - GDR Museum and the Reichstag stood out; incredibly efficient transport system and a great range of places to eat and drink. One night we were too tired to go far and had dinner at hamburger place nearby (Peter Pan) and it was adequate to good. I would have liked more restaurants nearby. We did not try Amigo Cohen as we wanted German food in Germany. Did go to Zollpackhoff,a short cab ride away and Sapori di Casa also a short cab ride away and enjoyed dinners there.

The full-height windows give lots of light to the inside and are easy to cover if one needs that. The area of Dahlem, where the hotel is located, is also charming and green, placed in the vicinity of the Freie Universität Berling (but those who wish to commute to the city centre should know this is quite a distance from Dahlem to Mitte; the U-Bahn connection is very convenient though). I enjoyed the breakfasts, which offered a variety of food and slightly changed each day.

The extra comfort room in the top floor was just fantastic. The water pressure in the shower, the comfy level of the bed and the overall style of the room.

Otherwise, the accommodation is located in the center of Berlin, close to Stadtmitte metro station and close to cafes and supermarkets. It's pretty much ideal for a short term stay in Berlin.
