Room was a good size but a little basic. The communal areas such as the restaurant, bar and pool area were nice with a good view.
Breakfast was good.

Exceptional breakfast, wine cellar and spa facilities. Would have been great to have more communal quiet spaces, perhaps a library or smoking room to play board games etc.

Geographically Lamego is in a hollow. As I approached from the south in full sun in December you could see Lamego covered in mist, cold damp mist. It lasted for my 3 day stay and the sun was only visible as I left and approached the Duro River!
The accommodation was dia and the highlight was the cheerful taxi driver to took me out!!
Limited walking as two routes were terminated by loose snarling dogs!

Very pretty city, could have spent more time just hanging out and getting to know the city and way of life. If you are there just to walk to the top of the steps to see the cathedral, then one day is sufficient.

We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed the amazing view, the park like garden, the heated indoor swimming pool. The breakfast was great so was our room which was very spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the view from our private terrace was amazing.
There was no restaurant on site so that meant having to drive into Lamego for dinner. We had a car so that didn’t bother us.
We would definitely stay again.

Do not miss the Sanctuario Nossa Senhora dos Remedios.
Do not miss the Sanctuario Nossa Senhora dos Remedios. Beautiful church built on top of a hill overlooking Lamego. Multiple terraces adorned with traditional Portuguese blue and white tiles lead up and down the property. One of the most beautiful places I have been to. I am surprised that the church is not talked about more often as a major attraction in the Duoro Valley.

We really enjoyed walking and visiting the towers, castles and churches it was like a travel back in time. Also because of the proximity we could take a boat tour in the Douro river. We drove from Lamego to Peso da Régua then by train to Pinhão to finish with a 2hrs boat tour.
Another unique experience was to drive on the N222. According to Avis who has crowned Portugal's N-222 as 'the road that offers the best driving experience in the world. From Peso da Régua to Pinhão.
With plenty of cafés, restaurants and bars food and drinks are there for you to choose. Is worth to know that after 22:00 most restaurants are closed but there are some like "O Cortelheiro" na rua das Cortes is open until 2:00am and you can have much more than a sandwiche.
An absolute gem! A perfect way to end our Camino!
The experience is hard to describe. The house is family run and filled with so much history and love. The grounds are magical offering a chance to escape and relax before jumping back into the real word.
Lots to do in the surrounding area (the Duoro River; Shrine to our Lady of Remedies)
And, for those who didn’t get gifts for friends at home a lovely boutique — scarfs and Port made from their grapes.
A totally worthwhile car ride from Porto! Can’t wait to go back.
Everything. Location is breathtaking with all modern rooms having a balcony or patio view over the Douro River. We stay every time we pass through the area and never even consider any other hotel in the area. Lovely breakfast and evening meal with the option to dine outside. Inside or outside you dine with the amazing view from the floor to ceiling windows. Parking excellent, really important to us as we stop on our way to our Portuguese home from the U.K.
We loved everything about our stay here. Amazing view. Affordable. Very peaceful and the 2 people who work there were wonderful. We only stayed here for 2 days out of our 11 day stay but I really wish we would of stayed here longer. Check out was at noon and we stayed until noon because I didn’t want to leave. My daughter stayed at a nearby 5 star hotel and I liked our place much better the herbs and I am glad I made the choice to stay here.
We stayed in a bungalow for 2 nights and it was amazing. Most spectacular view I have ever had from a hotel room. One night we ate dinner on our balcony so we could watch the colours on the valley change as the sunset, and one morning we got up early to see the sunrise over the valley.
Breakfast was delicious, just wish I could've eaten more. And the glass of port on arrival was also very nice.
Heaps of parking.
The most satisfactory accommodation in Portugal, and here it makes me want to visit the Douro Valley again. I went to the wrong accommodation with the same name near Pinhão, but thanks to the kind Beatriz, I was able to find Regua safely. Thank you so much to Beatriz for making our stay even more lovely!! Omly a mistake was that we only booked for one night. Worth a multi-day stay.
The apartment was clean and very spacious. The location was perfect as it was close to the center with shops and restaurants. The only difficulty was locating a place to park. Cristina was responsive to messages and gave us welcoming gifts of sweet bread and bottles of wine and water. It was a great way to start our stay in Lamego.
We loved the beautiful property, the wonderful breakfast served to your room with freshly made toast and still hot scrambled eggs along with all the trimmings. Our hostess, Isabela was a true delight. She was warm, welcoming and became an instant friend. I highly recommend booking for a relaxing trip to the Douro Valley.
The location was perfect…. quiet and picturesque, just outside of Lamego and close to the Duro river and wine region. The staff were friendly, helpful in suggesting restaurants, and most accommodating to our requests. The breakfast was wonderful and beautifully served. The view absolutely gorgeous and the wine superb.
we loved that moment at Lamego !
Starting by the wonderful welcoming of all the staff’s hotel !
the swimming pool and the Nordic jacuzzi was amazing! the restaurant was very nice both for dinner and breakfast !
we will recommend you to our friends and family!!
Daniel at the reception was very responsive to emails prior to our arrival. He would immediately respond and truly went above and beyond!
The entire staff at the hotel was superb! We had an incredible experience and treated us like royalty. Highly recommend.
We all enjoyed the hotel, it had a wonderful breakfast with lots of tasty offerings, lots of selections from breads to eggs and local pastries. I used the pool everyday, the outdoor pool area was well kept and we enjoyed the atmosphere at the bar.
Excellent Hotel in the middle of the vineyards and the Douro River. Nice place with beautiful views to the mountains and the city. Comfort and amenities to the right point and extremely professional staff and always ready to delight us.
Facilities were great difficult to find in a vehicle. Once there and understand the hotel it was great. Unfortunately indoor pool was closed the night we were there. Excellent restaurant for breakfast and for dinner.
The quinta is amazingly beautiful with a great view over the douro valley. Fernando was such a lovely, attentiv host!! It was totally the best accommodation we had on our whole Portugal trip!!
The hotel was excellent, breakfast was excellent, the guy at reception was a little scary at first, because he has a problem with speech, but very helpful person
Nice hotel in central Lamego near castle, church and bus station. Comfy room and good shower with strong water pressure. Liked the little terrace the room had.
