Cadaqués is a Spanish harbour town in north Catalonia on the beautiful Costa Brava, about a 2-hour drive from Barcelona. The white of the houses and the blue of the sky inspired many famous artists like Matisse, Picasso and Max Ernst, who decided to live there for a period of their life.
Featuring traditional Mediterranean architecture with narrow streets, a sophisticated atmosphere and a paradise bay with small fishing boats, the medieval town of Cadaqués is home to important churches and museums.
The world-renown surrealist painter Salvador Dali lived in Port Lligat, in a former fisherman's house with his everlasting love Gala. Today the house of Salvador Dali is open to the public and you can visit the artist’s atelier, the library and the garden.
Travellers should not miss the national park of Cap de Creus, the easternmost point of mainland Catalonia with a historic lighthouse built in 1853. This unique place is perfect for hiking or boat excursions.
The promenade area of Cadaqués has many local restaurants serving Catalan specialities. Booking.com will help you find a hotel, guest house or resort in the heart of this picturesque town and the nearby cities of Roses, Empúriabrava and Sant Pere Pescador.
Beautiful town and coastline. Exceedingly windy therefore cold but we went in April. Restaurants and supermarkets overpriced but lovely church, museum, little shops and steep windy streets to wander around. Twenty minute drive to get there winding back and forth through the mountains so not great if you get carsick.
Beautiful walks in all directions if you can brave the wind.

Cadaques is a small town, still with a lot of excellent small independent restaurants, design shops. It has some exquisite bays for swimming as well as exceptional scenery. everything is walking distance including the Salvador Dali home. If you like biking or trekking it is also a very good choice. Do not miss Cap de Creus natural reserve, where you can even have lunch or dinner. The food is always exceptional in Cadaques

Cadaques is a beautiful hidden gem.
Cadaques is a beautiful hidden gem. Most visitors have driven from neighbouring France or other parts of Spain, not many Brits abroad! It's a bustling and very family friendly town. Plenty of places to eat and drink and you can spend your days on the beach, doing watersports, visiting Dali's House, or at your hotel pool. Walking along the harbour at night is beautiful.

Cristall waters, small beach, good restaurant, nice shops, amazing bar. I Love Cadaques surrounded by beautiful nature reserves .
The best way to enjoy the sea is to rent a boat

Cadeques is a very quaint little village with lots of lovely cafes, eateries and bars. Their is lots to see and a lot of shops (if you like shopping?).
Not a place for high heals due to steep hills and uneven pavements but the place is full of people that like to promenade!. Very very busy place, lots of day trippers. All the beaches are small and rocky. A coastal walk is recommended to find a rare sandy (ish) beach. Picturesque and well worth a visit. Tourists predominately French

Plenty of eateries, although some were better than others.
Plenty of eateries, although some were better than others. Had a great trip round the bay on an old wooden sailing boat. Went to the Dali museum (booking advised) unbelievably amazing house. Also went to a butterfly farm which had many parrots.
So beautiful! A feeling of peace, calm and serenity as soon as you turn into the gates. The owner was lovely, so helpful. I was travelling alone, by motorcycle, easy to park inside grounds. My room was basic but so clean , comfortable and just perfect. The pool looked great, I didn’t swim but what a setting. The breakfast was really good, very relaxing place to eat. I would not hesitate to recommend. I get the impression that the town is quite an expensive place maybe? This hotel is excellent value.
Cadaques is a wonderful place to stay and the hotel provided everything we needed. Although the double room was very small we were delighted and surprised to find a private covered balcony with table and chairs and a rooftop view including the beautiful hilltop church. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning was good, the shower room was basic but modern and clean. There was a safe and hanging space and bedside tables and lamps. The room was clean and the staff were pleasant and helpful.
Wonderful little hotel in the historic part of town. It was renewed, with very good taste. The best is the little patio in the backyard, terrace, and fruits + yogurt available for guests. We didn't take the breakfast, but the owner would every day bake their cakes and the smell was to die for. Strongly recommend staying here for the value that it will cost. We also worked from the hotel and the wifi was very good
Location with lotsa steps which less agile folks may find inconvenient and tedious to access. They provide buggy to help with luggage as parking is in parking area away from hotel. Very basic room hardly any amenities and not even tissue paper. Coffee is available at €2 per Nespresso capsule but there’s free water in lobby fridge. Staff are friendly and helpful in general.
Good location, away from the bustle of the town, fabulous views. Parking available either in the hotel carpark or in the square outside. Comfortable room. Excellent breakfast in the garden by the pool. Charming and helpful staff. Possible to walk into town along the coastal path during daylight but not in the dark.
Perfect location ! the hotel is fantastic done with an amazing chic style . The rooms are big, super clean and the bed is so comfy.
The staff specially Yasmine was incredibly welcoming and available on what you need . She is the best !
For sure we will come back soon
Gina and Alex welcomed me to a home, not an hotel. They give added meaning to personal touch. And their doggie! Love at first "da me tu mano....give me your paw! It was all a grand slam home run.
Everything about the hotel was perfect! The location (next to the much more expensive Playa Sol), hotel facilities, cleanliness and friendly staff. I would definitely stay there again.
Great location close to the waterfront with cafes and grocery just next door. Cadaqués is beautiful and lots of great hiking from town. Friendly staff. Comfortable and very clean room.
The location and the hotel is really nice, good direction to the city center, room with terrace, very quite, check-in at night was awesome and very welcoming
