When traveling from Poland to Italy we usually stop over in Mikulov. We like the town very much. It is quiet so we always sleep well. We see how over years more and more buildings are decorated so our evening walks are every year nicer. We also see the number and quality of restaurants are growing. Very nice main square, peaceful streets and great castle! Worth to visit!

Mikulov is quintessentially, European charming, anchored by a castle, surrounded by vineyards. The architecture is enamoring, the castle and castle winery intriguing. My daughter and I went for the Moravian Easter holiday festivities while visiting castles. Wine was a bonus! The nearby Lednice-Valtice complex make Mikulov the perfect base for our Easter adventure.

I love Mikulov, its bars and buffets, together with a nice castle and a bunch of nice places to visit. Hiking around Mikulov is very good too. Wine, wine, wine and lots of good wine. We ate in Drogérka, excellent breakfast. KukBistro was also absolutely fantastic, especially their freshly baked bread. Parking in Mikulov is a disaster. Too expensive and focused on pushing tourists on the outskirts.

A small, cozy, beautiful city located in a hilly area on the Czech-Austrian border. It is a valued center of winemaking. The wineries with excellent Moravian wines are a big attraction.
Wandering around the historic old town gives you a lot of pleasure.
There is a lot of hotels and restaurants. However, I recommend booking in advance hotels in this city, because on the way back I wanted to spend a night (without advance booking) in the hotel where I previously stayed and there were no rooms available (third decade of September !).

It's hard to describe all that flamboyant character of the city. From the first look it is a heaven for a sightseers and wine lovers. The town is in the very heart of the South Moravian wine region nearby renown Palava mountain, which generously provides its slopes for the vineyards. It's the place where the best Rieslings are born. Once you got a bit bored of the nice architecture, the castle, drinking wine ... you may jump easily into sport activities. Here you will find in a great abundance various bike trails, water-sprort facilities nearby (wind-surfing, paddle boarding, swimming, bathing) in a wide and picturesque lake. In 10 minutes reach you are able to enjoy nice Aquapark 'Aqualand Moravia' which provides all the varieties of water fun and exquisite SPA facilities.

Absolutely gorgeous city, ancient...we walked up Holy Hill in wild wind, was quite an adventure, then strolled the old town. We took a guided tour of the city for 1.5 hours, that was also great...well worth the money. Decent restaurants and great wine, since this is the wine-growing region of the Czech Republic. Right at border with Austria = part of the former Iron Curtain.
Really nice place to stay when in Mikulov. It seems that the hotel is brand new so we really enjoyed our stay. It's right in the middle of old town, next to the castle. Breakfast was really good! And the bed was very comfortable. Also it's pet friendly, so it's a big plus for us.
We were sad we didn't have time to enjoy the hotel and the town longer, but we would definitely come back for a longer stay next time.
This is our second visit to this hotel. The location is great. We loved the hot tubs and the swimming pool on the rooftop. Unfortunately, you need to pay for wellness and the visit is limited to 2 hours.
The restaurant downstairs was opened till 23 with food available till 22 o'clock. Food was ok.
Parking available on the location.
Excellent breakfast buffet.
The breakfast was very good indeed: buffet, self-service, lovely coffee. The view of Mikulov Castle from the breakfast room, from the car park (and to some extent from our small balcony) was very nice. The receptionist of Hotel Zamecek on our first 2 days was really pleasant and helpful by giving us maps and showing on them how best to see Mikulov
The apartment was warm, clean and functional for our needs. The area was peaceful. Plenty of space and comfortable beds. Our hosts were there to meet us and show us around, although there was a minor language barrier. Good shower and secure parking with a nice garden for the dog. Easy walk into Mikulov old town.
Super nice and clean accommodation in Mikulov, walking distance to downtown and all the historic part of Mikulov as well as to some wine cellars. This place is highly recommended, it is large with everything what you need for your stay including clothes wash machine. Would love to come back again.
Comfortable apartment in the center of Mikulov, next to the castle with private parking and fully equipped kitchen. Located in old building, it's a perfect place to feel unique atmosphere of the city. Thank you for allowing dogs to spend time with us.
Very nice hotel. Even though it is located close to the main road, the rooms are facing a quiet field with a view of the castle. The staff was amazing, especially the blonde receptionist (forgot to ask her name), who went above and beyond.
property refused to open the door
i need a full refund.............had to drive to vienna and sleep in my car as all hotels were closed
