    Palya!!

Palya!! Outback Lodge Ayers Rock Resort is in a town called Yallara amongst the Anangu people. Close to Shell Petrol station ($2.98/Ltr 91 Unleaded), Few minutes drive from IGA Shop in the town centre. I recommend booking for Field of Lights, Wintjiri Wiru drone show (weather permitted) and Helicopter scenic flight around Uluru and Kata Tjuta ($315 per person for 25 min flight). Kata Tjuta is a 45 to 50min drive and has various hiking routes. Recommend some hikes while your there Valley of the Winds which is 7km hike from carpark. Resort has a wonderful viewing of Ayers rock close to Outback lodge perfect for Sunrise and Sunset. Camel Farm is near by outback Lodge, it also has a free museum for you to visit. Recommend booking a sunrise or sunset camel ride. Swimming pool is clean at the resort, freezing in the month of May. There is a communal kitchen with Fridge and Microwave. There is a Bar and BBQ which you can buy your meat and cook yourself. Steaks from $45 with unlimited Salad bar. Live music in evening. Has a Pizza shop across the Bar which also sells chicken nuggets n chips and Fish n Chips. Overall it is a good place for Famiies and Couples .

    Truly spiritual and overwhelming experience.

Truly spiritual and overwhelming experience. It's a pity most Aussies have not visited this place. Best to drive yourself so you can take your time and make your own schedule. Every viewing point is set up well and signposted for easy access. You can easily spend 2 days driving around the rock, witnessing sunrise and sunset with their own unique vistas. Evening dinner with lights event although overpriced was a beautiful experience due to the stars and the astronomer who showed the constellations. Much betwer than the bunch of solar usb powered bulbs on a springy stalk. Tip- a fly net on your face is dorky but a must!

Loved the aat kings tours and astro tour and hop on hop off bus trips. Loved the spiritual energy of the rock uluru. Loved walking around the rock and photographing it. Loved being outdoors near the rock and olgas the best. Loved the lunches at geckos cafe and souvenir shops too. The magnificent uluru rock and spiritual feeling and being outdoors in close proximity to uluru, the beautiful desert and warm to hot sunny days, no clouds in the sky was the best. Aat kings sunset tours and aat kings mala walk and drive around uluru and astro skies tour were the best, highlights of my holiday.

Most of the essentials are within the vicinity, staff and residents are friendly, however most of the activities that need tickets are expensive. The staff made changes with no fuss just to accommodate our requests (bookings)

We filled out 2.5 days with tours at dawn and in the nights and went to classes in the town square in between. We walked around all the resorts and ate meals at different places to experience many of them. It's very easy to walk around the resorts or catch the free circuit bus. We thought we would have gone on longer walks around Uluru and Kata Tjuṯa if we had a couple more days to stay.

We loved touring around Uluru and Kata Tjuta.

We loved touring around Uluru and Kata Tjuta. Loved the Field of Lights Tour. Loved the Helicopter flight over Uluru. The indigenous cultural talks and tours were midday when we were out and about. If they could have those later in the evenings it would have been better. Dont do the Emu Plains BBQ sunset tour - at $139 per head it was rushed and not worth it at all. Overall it was beautiful to finally see Uluru and Kata Tjuta In the evenings there wasn't much to do after sunset and after 3 nights got very boring.

Clean, comfy bed, plenty of space in the apartment, decent enough equipped kitchen, noting the fridge was a large bar fridge. Had coffee/tea/sugar/salt/pepper and small milk but that's it. The supermarket is a 5 minute walk away. While this hotel doesn't have a pool, both accommodations either side does, which is only a short walk away. Location great, staff friendly. Would have liked an ice tray to make ice, got some from another hotel bar which was helpful. Oh, and heaps of towels! Really appreciated that.

Room was simple, but spotless. Swimming pool was a wonderful spot to cool off after long hikes in 30+ temperatures. Location was terrific… right beside the “town square” with access to cafes, a grocery store, souvenir stores and a place to book tours. We had stayed here on our first trip to Australia 12 years ago, and could not make a booking six years ago because of renovations. We were happy to return and not stay in one of the more expensive venues.

Location was great. Just walked out the back of the property and I was at the Town Square with cafe's, shops and the supermarket. Within an easy walk to the other resort properties too. My room overlooked the pool and once inside my room could not hear any noise from the kids in the pool at all. Not that they made much noise anyway. Note that reception hours are 8am until 4.30pm but you can check in via Sails on the Desert which is a short walk away.

Uluru as a whole was so unique and we loved it! The Outback Hotel was in a great location and the AC worked great which we really needed (it was 107 degrees for all 3 nights of our stay!) They also had awesome shops, free educational workshops, and a free bus that ran every 20 minutes to take you to different places throughout Uluru. We would absolutely recommend the Outback Hotel if you are planning a trip to Uluru!

Very nice experience. Hotel room was superb with everything you could expect. Great bathroom with shower, Smart TV (even though Wifi wasn't great), comfy beds, cattle with some tea and coffee, mini fridge, A/C, and plenty of storage room. The resort itself offers few good restaurants and some additional activities for your free day. The pool was nice but very cold for us in August.

The whole of Ayers Rock resort was great, close to viewpoints to see the surrounding area (Uluru). The pick up from the airport and subsequent drop off. The "town centre" itself provided lots of food options as well as some shops. The hotel itself was great and the staff were great. The day trips were great too and well organised.

Massive swimming pool, perfect for the hot days when it's the beginning of summer. All the hotel is clean, modern, everything functional. The location is perfect, cannot be closer from the few restaurants and shops of Uluru resort. Car park very close and large enough to always find a space with no difficulty

The hotel was perfect! We stayed at the Desert Gardens for 3 nights - the room was really modern and the pool / reception / restaurant was only a short stroll away. It was my partners 30th Birthday and the team at Desert Garden's gave us a room wiht a view of Uluru & also a complimentary bottle of wine.

This was a beautiful accommodation for our last stop in Australia. There are amenities all within walking distance from Sails in the Desert which was great. The staff and hotel were everything we wanted. I would definitely stay here again.

It was great that we could utilise the facilities of the surrounding hotels like the pools and bar. Also when we dined in the restaurants we could charge back to our apartment.
