A charming, elegant town with a lively centre and a huge port. Fascinating old port, and fort well-presented and interesting to visit. Current heartbreaking exhibition re Corsican resistance in WW2. Ate well, mainly Corsican specialities e.g, mussels with cheese, veal with olives.

I had the unfortunate experience of losing my iPhone at the start of my trip. The desk managers at the Hotel Kalliste were amazing!!! They worked tirelessly to help me locate my phone that was left in a taxi. Thank you to Ilme!! Thank you to Joanne!! Thank you to Thomas!! You all went above and beyond to help me locate my phone. Great sleuthing to all! I was able to retrieve my phone and carry on with my vacation stress free.

Ajaccio is a magical and beautiful town, full of life, beaches, and amazing restaurants. It is very accessible by foot, and the access from the airport is also quick and convenient. Locals (at least most of the people we engaged with while there) were helpful and kind. I am not sure how safe a city it is as I "lost" a very valuable watch, and I wonder if it was the act of pickpockets, or hotel staff, or it came lose (it has not in 15 years though.) That did leave me with a feeling of deep disappointment. That put aside, I very much recommend traveling to Corsica and spending a couple of days in Ajaccio.

We found many good restaurants and one favorite one we went to several times. The city is clean and the port is amazing, especially with the huge cruise ships in port. The streets with the shopping kiosks offer anything and everything. The streets go every which way but GPS was an absolute necessity. DON'T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT!!

We went to visit our granddaughter so she was our guide for the holiday. However, the hotel had a very comprehensive touch screen guide for transport, restaurants, places to see etc. Ajaccio was very accessible on foot and a week was enough to explore the town and surrounding areas on foot, bus and train. To go further afield you would need to hire a car. There were loads of restaurants and many cafes plus a weekly market by the harbour.
The overall ambiance of this hotel was young and hip and a lot of fun. The staff were enthusiastic and competent (if occasionally a bit disorganized) and friendly. The room had a modern, somewhat hip, slightly austere aesthetic, which we liked. The FREE parking was directly under the hotel and connected with a convenient elevator. Mostly, the breakfast was very good (with one small exception, see below). It was about a ten to twelve minute walk to the old citadel. The view from our balcony was great. The rooftop pool area was a real amenity.
I liked everything about the accommodation😎
The only thing what was bothering me was, that in whole Corsica English is very hard to find to be spoken.
For God's Sake I knew the basics of French, otherwise I would've been completely lost.😳
But that's not the fault of the accommodation, instead the one of the austrian travel agencies 🙄🤦♂️
The employees of the hotel are very kind and helpful in every situation 🙂
I highly recommand Résidence Easy Lodge to everyone😎👍
Stephanie was a wonderful host. I had a problem while staying in Ajaccio and, even though she was at home in Bordeaux, she reached out to a local person to help me get things fixed. The apartment is sweet and fully stocked with all the necessities. It is up five flights of stairs but has a perfect (and secure) location in the center of Ajaccio. The main city parking garage is one block away so very convenient if you have a car.
The staff was quite professional, they left the key at the information desk at the airport so I got it directly when I arrived to Ajaccio (same when I left). The location is perfect if you like the heart of the city - lots of restaurant near the apartment and also the beach and the seaport are close. There are a lot of kitchen tools if you want to cook and supermarkets and the market are pretty close to the apartment.
Quiet and comfortable in the heart of old Ajaccio. Good Wi-Fi. Great hot shower. Comprehensive and well priced breakfast. The hotel offers valet, on-site parking (at a charge) - essential in this historic centre of town where on street parking is highly regulated and time limited. Very helpful and friendly staff. Tea making facilities provided in room on request. Great value.
Small boutique hotel, amongst the nicest in the city, retro frank Sinatra mid-century feel, spotless, well appointed, feels exclusive. Room finishes, from furniture to bedding, are all super lux. Had dinner at the patio restaurant. Good but not great for the money. The adjoining seaside cafe/bar is exceptional. Lovely pool. We will visit again.
Everything was great - the receptionist chose a room for us that absolutely met our expectations - we had a balcony with a fantactic side view to the port and marina. The room was spotless clean. And the rooftop terrace with sunbeds and a swimming pool was exactly what we needed after two weeks of trekking the Corsican mountains.
Location was excellent. Breakfast on our first day was good with the exception of the cold scrambled eggs.
The second was the same together with aging fruit in bowl.
Overall though I loved this hotel
I’m sure that this criticism will be rectified.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helped you were they could. The location is pretty good aswell and you can get easily to the city with the bus for a cheap price. We had beautiful weather so there was an amazing view to the sea.
Just had a fabulous time without any problems ... arrived late...got an SMS from the hotel giving necessary info and voilà !!!
I only saw a staff member the next day ... extremely friendly!
After a long trip in the south of Corsica and tired with a baby, the staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming. The hotel is clean, beds are super comfortable, we loved it.
Beautifull location with a tremendous view of Ajaccio. Hosts are very friendly and give great tips. As only a couple of apartments a great amount of privacy.
