Marina and her husband were the best. They were so helpful and friendly with all of our requests and then some. This was my wife's birthday and they made sure to have flowers in the room, a bottle of wine, and helpful suggestions of where to go and what to do. I chose to give my wife and myself a full body massage which we both agreed was very heavenly.
The room was very large and had a great view of the mountains nearby. The beds were really nice and we were very comfortable.
Now to the breakfasts. Prepare to be amazed at the size and the choices on the menu. All of our choices were amazing in taste and we could not finish our meals. Great value for the best breakfasts we've ever had. Included was coffee, juice, and a Bulgarian yoghurt drink. You could get a normal eggs and bacon breakfast to more traditional Bulgarian breakfasts... all were amazing.

Bansko is a good alternative for skiing when you cannot afford to go in the Alps .
Very good options for accommodation and for eating out in local restaurants.
You need to know that the ques for gondola in the morning can get pretty long and well exceed one hour wait.

Bansko is a city that captures the heart with its stunning...
Bansko is a city that captures the heart with its stunning beauty, effortlessly blending picturesque landscapes with the quaint charm of its streets. However, visitors should be wary of the numerous tourist traps that dot the city, often overshadowing its genuine offerings. Despite this, with a bit of diligence and local insight, one can uncover hidden gems like the small family-run 'mexana' we were fortunate to find. Serving homemade food with warmth and authenticity, it stood out as a beacon of traditional hospitality amidst a sea of commercialized eateries.
On the flip side, the popularity of Bansko's ski slopes comes with its own set of challenges, notably the excessive queues for the gondola lift, which can significantly dampen the skiing experience. Opting for a bus ride to the slopes proved to be a wise decision, bypassing the long wait and leading us directly to the well-maintained pistes. While Bansko offers much in terms of scenic beauty and skiing opportunities, visitors must navigate its less appealing aspects to fully enjoy what this charming city has to offer.

We didn`t know Bansko was so popular with the British 19/ 30 groups so when we arrived (09.00 o`clock in the eving we were shocked by noise and amount of drunken people in the streets and bars. I is like Benidorm in Spain. Bansko is to big for her wintersport facilities so the skilifts were totally overrrun and the lower pistes were way to busy. Up 3 hours waiting time on some days on the gondola. Prices for ski passes, equipment rental etc are really ok . Altough the pistes are nice they were way to busy. Food in restaurants and drinks are way overpriced.
We had a different Bulgarian breakfast on each of the 3 days we stayed here. All of them were excellent. The immediate neighbourhood is pedestrianised and street parking is very limited. There was a single parking space on site at a cost of 10 лв per day but it was a bit of squeeze to get into it and I only have a smallish car. The location was spot on, right in the centre of the old town with plenty to see and do. It is a lovely, quirky old style hotel with many interesting artefacts to look at.
This is the best hotel you can stay in Bansko for sure.
The owner is so friendly and positive. Everything was clean to perfection, and i had a really late check in, in a very short time. The rooms are so cute, with everything necesary 👍. I will deffinitelly come back here. Its the perfect locationwith a view from the mauntains, quiet, but not far from ski center. And so good for the price.
Ps: the breakfast was perfect as well so i would recomend it as well.
Great hotel- we stayed in 2 bedroom apartment and it was very spacious and comfortable for 2 adults and 2 children. There was a shuttle to Gondola lift every 20 min. Food was OK-ish for us. Spa can get quite busy, especially after 5pm. Staff were really nice and friendly. They even allowed me to use spa facilities before check in( quite normal in other countries but not so much in Bulgaria). I would definitely return in this hotel and recommend it.
Exceptionally clean, super friendly and helpful staff. We have been several years in a raw in this hotel for the winter holidays and it’s getting even better. We love the kids club and use it all the time.
Shuttle to the gondola and even to the ski slops in the morning. Great pool and spa procedures.
Rooms are spacious snd comfortable, amazing cleaning service.
I really enjoyed my stay at Amira Hotel. The staff was great, they helped me on every issue, including surprise for my wife in the room and even paying for the parking ticket I got in Bansko. It is possible to buy a ski pass at the hotel reception (only in cash). This hotel has a very good spa area and a good breakfast.
Very beautiful and quiet hotel.
The hotel is located 20 metres from the ski slope, close to the gondola.
Staff was nice and welcoming, even though not everyone spoke English (the guy that waited for us to check in at 8 pm did not speak a word of English, but the reception left a note for us with all necessary info).
The ski room was very useful.
The room was clean.
The hotel Casa Karina was close to the lifts and has a great swimming pool and offers excellent massages in the spa. With many properties in Bansko, it can be difficult to choose, but you can't go wrong here considering the rates and proximity to the mountain. Friendly staff who did their best during this awkward Covid ski season.
Lovely big well appointed room, good breakfast and a very nice restaurant for dinner.
If you are there for Winter Sports this hotel has the best location, it is ski in and ski out.
We were there for a late Autumn break looking at the local attractions, the Old Town and the countryside. There is plenty to do and see.
Very tasty and diverse buffet breakfast.
The spa was satisfying overall , although I personally would have liked a little higher water temperature.
Buses from and to the ski resort, minimizing the impact of the remote location of the hotel.
Room was pretty and comfortable, supplied with coffee and tea everyday.
The facilities are really excellent, well above 3*. The room was well appointed. The hotel is very clean. The staff were lovely, particularly the owner Olga and the bus driver Igor. It was the easiest ski transport I have ever used. No waiting around or miscommunication- just easy peasy.
The hotel was perfectly clean, warmed up and comfortable. The staff were friendly and the meals were abundant. I recommend staying in Grand Royale Apartment Complex & Spa. I also recommend booking your Spa procedures well in advance, as the therapists are pretty busy. :)
The location is the nearest to the ski resort(if you have a car). That helps to avoid the queue every morning at the Gondola. The lady who manages the hotel is very kind and she gives all the best she can!!! The room is very warm!!! Definitely we will return!!!
Great facilities and location and we got a free upgrade which was lovely. It pretty much had everything, from ski rental to spas to restuarant and bar which made the hotel very convenient. Loved the cosy atmosphere with the fireplace in the lobby area.
It was a great stay. Clean and well equipped hotel with proper spa and ski room. The staff was exquisite - especially Maya and Rumen.
They successfully helped us to enjoy a great stay.
