Excellent caravan park located just outside of Alice Springs. We stayed one night in one of the two-bedroom units on our way back from visiting Uluru. The unit was clean, well appointed and comfortable. The bouncing pillow and waterslide were clear favorites for my 10 and 12 year old girls. If you have children, they will love it here!

The property overall had a cute, tropical look. The room was decently equipped with dishware and glassware. The staff were very helpful and we particularly appreciated that reception opened early at 6am. The onsite snack bar and coffee machine proved invaluable for our early mornings. They happily stored our luggage free of charge while we went on a three-day trip to Uluru.
Featuring an outdoor swimming pool, free BBQ facilities and free parking, Alice’s Secret Travellers Inn offers air-conditioned accommodation, 5 minutes’ walk from the town centre.

A special place, with eclectic style, that is travel inspired. a short 10 mi ute walk fro. city center on a quiet street (wait, all the street in Alice are quiet). There is a large communal kitchen that is a place to eat, cook and meet other travelers. The staff can offer discounts on popular tours, e.g. Uluru.
Set within the site of a former outdoor movie theater, YHA Alice Springs offers air-conditioned backpacker accommodations in the heart of the town center.

Alice Springs is a city with many problems that only they can resolve, however it is the closest place to Uluru to fly to from most cities in Australia. The Doubletree nextdoor would be a much more desirable place for many travelers to spend a night. If staying longer, there are many interesting attractions, including a world-class animal preserve, to enjoy. The advice many Australians gave us was to avoid downtown. I would concur. We needed to do some grocery shopping prior to driving to Uluru, so we had no choice.

A place on the decline.
A place on the decline. Very few local businesses still open or operating. Few options other than pub meals available. Drinks in local bars very expensive. Do not go out on your own in town after 2100 hrs. Be prepared to be humbugged by the local indigenous people. Thought I was travelling through parts of South Africa with high fences and barbed wire. Can't see myself returning again, there's no reason.

First we visited the Town's Information center, Staff were excellent and provided all information we needed for our 3 day tour, Places we visited , West and East Macdonald ranges, Anzac Hill / Tower, There are lots of Gauges and natural landscapes are breathtaking,
There are places you can eat, and buy things that you need ,
but make sure to carry sufficient liquor as only 3 days that bottle shops are opened, and limited hours,

It was a nice town that has been effected by covid - not as bustling as it used to be with most shops on Todd Mall closed down but there are efforts underway to revitalise which will be great - fantastic to see all the local art

LOCALS ARE GREAT. THE TOWN IS GREAT. VERY RELAXED.
LOCALS ARE GREAT. THE TOWN IS GREAT. VERY RELAXED. JUST AVOID THE WHINGERS RUNNING HOTELS AND ANYONE NOT BORN IN AUSTRALIA. THEY GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO SCARE AND PUT FEAR INTO VISITORS FOR NO GOOD REASON AND DO NOT EMPLOY ANY AUSTRALIANS.
We had asked for the room to be set up for 4 people ahead of time and they did just that. However rooms were smaller than we had envisioned so we just rented a second. We had just come from sharing a berth on a train and wanted more room. The staff was very helpful especially when we could not get the AC working. Turned out to be our error. The pool was absolutely wonderful as was the hotel location. Restaurant at the very nearby golf course clubhouse also quite good.
Mercure is a really nice hotel with all it's rooms set in small blocks in the gardens and around the pool and main reception. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable.
Staff were very smiley, friendly and helpful. The restaurant was very nice and the food really good.
I did think it would be nearer to the town (15 minute walk) than it was but taxis are plentiful and cheap. Highly recommended.
The hostel is probably the most unusual I've ever been to but that's exactly what makes it so awesome and memorable. I literally slept in an old-fashioned trailer which wasn't big but for a night or two it's all I need :) The kitchen was clean and there was enough space in the garden to just hang around. If I ever come back to Alice Springs I'll definitely check in here again :)
Breakfast was to a usual standard that you would receive in other hotels. Rooms were more than adequate and gave the right amount of room to not have the feeling of being hemmed in. Facilities within the room and hotel were more that adequate. Outlook from the room to the mountain range was excellent. The pool was good and gave everyone plenty of room to enjoy.
Accommodation is all standalone villas giving extra privacy. Resort office has good range of drinks and snacks for sale and DVDs to rent. Nice pool on site. Easy 3 minute drive to centre of town and a short walk to some nearby hotel bars and restaurants. Also next to a golf club if you are interested.
Our room was quite large and very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed access to the balcony where we could view the parade of Alice Springs life in a central city location. The Stumps cafe at the Diplomat Hotel served great coffee & breakfast & snacks. The Diplomat Hotel Pub also served good lunches.
I booked the Hilton in Alice Springs prior to an end to end larapinta (16 days) happy to spend the extra money with the hope for a clean bed and a nice warm shower as guarantee.
I have always enjoyed the free cookies and had previously had good experiences with doubletree in Alice Springs
An absolute gem in Alice Springs. We stayed 3 nights and it was the perfect accommodation to commence our travels in The Red Centre. Informative hosts, super comfortable beds, squeaky clean, sumptuous breakfasts, super relaxing outdoor areas, beautiful pool......
Dated but spacious and comfortable room. Nice pool area, onsite gym. It's a distance to the town centre but this is to your advantage as the Alice Springs town area is unsafe. Use taxis if you don't have your own transport and be very aware of your surroundings.
The hotel was conveniently located near the mall, cafes, restaurants and shops. After a day out sightseeing in Alice Springs and exploring the East and West McDonald ranges, the pool was great to cool off in and the BBQ area was handy to prepare and cook meals.
Location is close to another two caravan parks, about a five minute drive to the city centre. My only positive is that I was given an immediate full refund, as the cabin I was alloted was sub standard and provided serious risk of injury as well as to my health.
easy self check in, easy self check out, flexible in extending check out time, washer + drying lines in yard + small dryer rack indoors , spacious studio for a family, hot water shower , short distance to everything relevant in and around alice springs
This is a fairly routine motel but provides everything you need for a day or two in Alice Springs. Located right in town with secure parking. Rooms are clean and tidy. Quiet at night. There is a small pool and BBQ area.
