The peaceful location and perfect services from all the staff.
They are very detailed oriented and that make a huge difference.
The food is also amazing, we went in a Michelin restaurant few days before and some of the meals we ate at the restaurant were as good as the other.
A huge thank you for all the staff property that have made that stay perfect

It is very clean. The staff are very friendly. Breakfast was excellent and the pool is amazing and the decor of the hotel is very artsy and funky. It’s quiet.
Small and peaceful, this hotel is a great place to relax and explore the sandy beaches of Costa Vicentina Natural Park. It offers an outdoor pool with a spacious sun deck.

Aljezur is a great location to visit if you like nature, surfing, good food, a slower pace of life. I would recommend staying in Aljezur, getting a car to drive around to different beaches and villages where you can find good restaurants. In the evening, in Aljezur, always book ahead a table.

A magical small village with tiny streets and houses, nice restaurants The river is full of life, edpecially dozens of turtles sun bathing. the beaches are close and the castle above the city gives a nice overview although it is just a ruin.
nice massage at “em boas maos“ at the other side of the river in the new part of town.
there is also a nice walkway east of the castle directly below with benches to rest and look over the whole village and countryside.

We hope to return.
We hope to return. The presence of an active cultural life was important for us. We felt like we were in a town and region alive and not just a tourist setting.
By the way, asking these questions in English also, would be helpful.

What I liked is that it is truly a get away from the busier touristy parts of Portugal. What I didn't like is that google maps has its location for a national park located in the middle of a farm that has sand on the surrounding roads that are easy to get stuck in.

If you want to explore the west coast of Portugal Aljezur is a good choice for a stop over. We travelled from the south and beaches we visited on our way were spectacular. Going North this morning it was equally as good.
We spent one wonderful and relaxing week in the casa alva. Our apartment was very clean and well equipped. The location is very quiet, as it is in the middle of a nature reserve. We barely heard civilisation noise, only nature was present. Our host Francesca made a perfect job. Her breakfast with all the local products was very rich and tasty. Even a five-star hotel couldn’t do it better. She was also very helpful and gave as some good restaurant recommendations and ideas for other activities. A real insider tip in the Algarve!
Marta and Julio, who are the owner and hosts, created a super-nice retreat at the Western Algarve, with many incredible beaches, the beautiful town of Lagos and many other attractions nearby! The hosts are very nice ne friendly, and they really about you. If you search for something different from the usual tourist offers, then you are right there!
A fairly modern hostel-type facility with a sister boutique hotel next door. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is tasty and plentiful, although the staff can get a bit swamped at peak hours. There is a also a bar downstairs with reasonable prices. The 'deluxe' rooms have amazing views of the sea.
Clean, spacious room with a nice balcony; kettle and coffee maker in the hall immediately outside the room. Very comfortable.
Breakfasts in Portugal are almost all good; at the Casa da Horta the owner adds small details to an already excellent breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel after 6 weeks in Portugal.
Even on warm days, the temperatures are fine in this small and practical apartment. It feels very authentic to stay in the heart of old town Aljezur. Good restaurants and bars just down the road. Very friendly staff. Perfect location for tours in this wonderful part of Portugal.
The property is designed beautifully and tastefully. The hotel, situated in a park setting, allows for deep relaxation. The pool area was very enjoyable. The staff was always gracious. I was appreciative to find a small luxury hotel in that area of Portugal.
An excellent view and a peaceful place, less than 5 minutes by car from the beach.
The staff was always eager to help us, very nice people with that great hospitality mindset we aim to see around these parts of Portugal.
Perfect venue for weekend getaways.
I loved this place. Ludo created a cool and relaxed atmosphere to stay and meet other people. The accommodation and facilities like kitchen, living room, garden, and pool are great. I have stayed a couple of times and looking forward to staying again.
Nice local guesthouse Convenient to Rota Vicentina, excellent restaurants, supermarket Restaurant in guesthouse not open but great options near by Easy walk to old town Enjoyed sitting on patio w view of the castle
Best hostel so far in Portugal! Great position, The hosts were nice and tried to involve everyone in activities by getting the guests known to each other. Possibility to rent surfing equipment. Fantastic breakfast
great staff, lovely rooms, views, breakfast and dinner were lovely. Raod to it is bumpy but is like all the other roads off the main path in that area of portugal so expected and should not be changed.
The house is really beautiful and nice decorated, you'll find everything you need. The host Ludo ist very friendly and will support you any time. And you'll get the best coffee in Portugal!
