The hosts are very welcoming and kind, the location is great, close to Cheile Bicazului, Astragalus via ferrata, Lacul Rosu. Restaurants are also easy to reach by car, there’s a mini market at walking distance. The rooms were spacious, warm, very clean and had their own fridge.

Situated in Bicazu Ardelean, 21 km from Bicaz Dam, Casa Ardeleana features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a terrace. The host was very friendly, he helped us with wood for the grill, always asked us if we were comfortable or if we needed anything, gave us recommendations of places to visit near the house and it was overall a great experience.

Boasting a shared lounge, Casa Luca is situated in Ceahlău in the Neamţ region, 27 km from Bicaz Dam and 50 km from Secu Monastery. Very clean, great hosts. A bit pricey for the area but worth it if it’s a big group.

Featuring mountain views, Casa Cris is situated in Durau, around 32 km from Bicaz Dam. This guest house features free private parking and a shared kitchen. Quaint Romanian home with a farm and fresh trout!

Situated in Ceahlău and only 29 km from Bicaz Dam, Mountain View Ceahlau features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. We loved the location and the view from the balcony. We also liked the breakfast, you can choose from some varieties.

Pensiunea Lavanda, Piatra-Neamț, a property with a garden, a terrace and a bar, is situated in Piatra Neamţ, 25 km from Bicaz Dam, 43 km from Văratec Monastery, as well as 49 km from Agapia Monastery.... The owners were very helpful and very keen to make our stay as sweet as possible.

The host had an outstanding attitude during our stay. She was extremely kind and she asked several times per day if everything is OK. A veggie breakfast was offered on demand containing a lot of choices. Overall one of the best customer oriented attitude inside any other facility like this in Romania.

Located in Durau, 31 km from Bicaz Dam, Pensiunea Mădălina provides accommodation with ski-to-door access, free private parking, a garden and barbecue facilities. Friendly hostess , beautiful flowers and green grass , enough , parking place , fully equipped kitchen , possibility of eating inside or outside .

Boasting a bar, Hotel Bliss is located in Roman in the Neamţ region, 45 km from Bacău Train Station. Featuring bicycle parking, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. Extraordinary clean rooms, the room was preheated according to my instructions, very comfortable bed, friendly staff!

Set in Poiana Teiului, within 42 km of Bicaz Dam and 47 km of Agapia Monastery, Casa Prundari Nicu și Mirela offers accommodation with a garden as well as free private parking for guests who drive. Casa Prundari is a hidden gem in the middle of the mountains. The property has a big communal garden with shared kitchen and toilets, space for parking the car and a kids playground. The huts are beautiful and spotlessly clean! We stayed in the bigger two-bedroom one which had everything you might need on the trip including private bathroom and kitchen. The owners Nicu and Mirela welcomed us like family with coffee, wine and even a homemade meal. Do not hesitate to stay here! We’ll be back :)
