I found the staff to be unusually friendly and helpful, regarding storing bags before and after the stay, looking for a microwave in the lobby, and getting something printed, and supporting the rush of people for their breakfast with 2 separate areas to dish up. I liked the compact design of the room (e.g. I don't need a desk in the room, they have a work area in the lobby), and I think they passed the savings on as its the cheapest comparable hotel in the area.

Ideally located in Times Square, this Manhattan hotel has been around since 1930.

The room is outdated very depressing. The carpet on the hallways need to be replaced. It has a dingy look. The hallway walls are plain, no paintings missing some art work to make the stay more pleasant. There's no refrigerator in the room, recommend a small refrigerator to the room. The only pleasant appearance in this hotel is the reception area in my opinion. It definitely needs to be revamped to bring it up to date. Thank you.
