Amazing location, stayed with my daughter and 2 teenage granddaughters. We stayed in the main building. There were 2 bunk beds, a small table with a couple chairs and a bathroom. All were clean and intact. The real draw is the location is fantastic, a couple minutes walking from the port, train station, bus, activities, food... etc... The property is in a great setting, with hiking paths located right behind the property. There is a large well stocked huge kitchen with a ton of tables and chairs. The office up front has some basic items such as eggs, mike, ramen noodles, soups, coffee, at a reasonable price. The internet worked well. They were kind enough to allow us to stash our luggage for a few hours before check in and a few hours after checkout. Room was at a comfortable temperature when we were there.

Do not expect a hotel experience, it is a family hostel and campground, having said that it is clean and well organized and we felt comfortable and safe.

The location was excellent for walking g and easy nearby public transport to enjoy so many different sights: Vigeland Park, Royal Palace, Akerselva river walk, shopping, nearby restaurants like Asia Box, I really appreciated the coffee in the lobby and the atrium is an interesting feature from the old hospital.

Laundry facilities unavailable and coffee machine seemed to be getting cleaned at just the wrong time in the morning. Clearly these are not real issues, just very minor little nits.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful, one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The dinner buffet was delicious, as was the breakfast. We loved the entire pool, sauna area and the view was insane! Would love to stay here again.

There was a little construction going on during our stay but it was hardly noticeable and I’m excited to see what improvements they make.

This place is beyond my expectations. Very good breakfast, the room is a little small but comfortable enough. Even though it’s shared bathroom, no need to worry since there are so many and all are very clean.

1. Design of the bathroom is flawed. The shower cubicle is not sinking down hence water will flood the whole toilet. 2. Not sound proof. There was loud music outside on the first day and unbearably noisy inside the room. The following days were ok though. 3. Housekeeper didn’t even through away garbage, instead leaving the bag on the floor next to dust bin. This is quite ridiculous provided housekeeping was not done daily to start with.
