I personally prefer rooms with ensuites as it’s annoying having to leave your room with all your stuff to go to a shared bathroom, but that’s just me. It was very clean though. Also would be amazing if they had a bar!

The staff were very helpful, I had a lot of questions and they always helped me out. They also called me taxi whenever I needed it and had tours available for everyone PLUS a what’s app group so we could make friends 🤗

There wansnt anywhere in the shower cubical to hang your towel or clothes which was a shame, and I could never find the AC remote to turn it down

I was on the upper bed, and every time I was turning around during sleep,the whole bed was shaking. Except for that, all was good.

The hostel leaves really good impressions. You can feel comfortable here and relax after or before continuing your journey. Excellent cleanliness and convenient location right next to the Chania KTEL bus station. The immediate area is full of shops and street food outlets; to the center is the old port, which is a stone's throw away. The 6-person room is quite spacious, although not particularly large. The locker under the bed can accommodate a lot of your stuff. Reading lamp, clean bedding, magnetic card entry everywhere. Well-stocked kitchen, perfectly organized bathroom, and showers (gender separated), especially on the first floor. A nice patio/inner courtyard with a small pond à la pool. Before check-in or after check-out, you can leave your luggage at the reception. High-speed Wi-Fi connection throughout the facility (individual access via password from the reception). PS: Read the hostel rules posted on an A4 card in the rooms; you'll have fun!

Rooms very small so difficult to arrange your stuff. No space in bathroom to lay your stuff on e.g. if you need to change clothe, during shower - very bad!

Fantastic atmosphere, incredibly clean, very social, but not loud with beautiful kitchen facilities, air conditioning and a pool. All around an incredible experience. Reception staff is there 24/7 (very helpful if you arrive after midnight) and makes sure that everyone is quiet after hours. Cleaners are in the hostel at least three times a day and keep things almost spotless. The pool was an excellent surprise, a bit small but perfect for a refreshing dip after a day exploring the city. Hostel offers tours and has a WhatsApp group to organize group activities with other visitors. Nearby to Old Town, the bus station, laundromat and grocery stores. Excellent hostel - I’d come back to Chania just to stay here again!

It looks like the bunks may have been set up to have a curtain on them based on the rail, this would allow for lights to be on without disturbing others and an area to change.

Little things such hardly there's enough shelves in the bathroom to place your (small)pack of toiletteries.

The facilities of the property is absolutely very good throughout. Staff members are helpful, in particular Evita & her colleagues. Will definitely recommend.

The night manager takes his job a bit to serious. Which is a good thing, but even whisper is not allowed.

I was there for a month, and there were a couple times that large university groups seemed to essentially take over the hostel for the weekend. This is not really the hostel's fault, but the second university group was so loud during the middle of the night for the two nights they stayed, so I wish there had been someone to enforce the quiet hours when groups that large and boisterous were around. Would have also loved to be able to do laundry at the hostel, but there was a laundry place down the street to use, so it wasn't a big problem.

This is the absolute CLEANEST HOSTEL EVER! I swear they cleaned the bathrooms two to three times a day. The wifi was amazing (I was working remotely while there and had 0 problems). The staff was friendly and helpful, and the common areas are perfect for working from. I don't often think "I need to come back here," but I will probably return to Cocoon at some point. It's a real gem of a hostel and seems to attracts digital nomads for good reason

I didn't like that there were no instructions. There needsto be an information sheet somewhere since there is no one present to ask. As it is, I have no idea what I could have done wrong. It was pure luck that I saw a sign telling me to put my dirty sheets there.

Big bed which could be one's private space. Nice balcony. Licely atmosphere thanks to part of the facilities being rented out for people to hold courses in.

This was my second time staying here, and the room on the second floor with a balcony is better than the one on the first floor. You can sunbathe clothes, and the air is also fresher. I even think the mattress is softer.

Every public area is kept very clean, with staff constantly cleaning, you can't see any dirt anywhere. Even though the bedsheets are simple, the mattresses are quite comfortable.
