Comfortable hotel with beautiful garden and natural water pool. Nearby restaurants very good as at the moment the hotel only serves breakfast but is considering opening its own restaurant. In a quiet village with a small food market most days on the square .

We stayed in a spacious family room with a fully equipped kitchen and a garden. Loix is lovely and quiet. There is supermarket round the corner and a farmers market too (open all mornings during summer holidays) as well as a bakery. Swimming pool is great! From Loix it's easy to cycle to any other towns. There are two cycle hires in Loix.

We had a dog with us so I think the room availability was limited. The room was disappointing, a bit dark and small, the bed not very comfortable. A good location in the middle of the village, close to restaurants and parking. The lack of tapas was disappointing as we were only able to eat at the hotel on 1 night.

Fantastic town with a good choice of restaurants.
Fantastic town with a good choice of restaurants. Bustling cafe culture. Wonderful long golden sandy beaches which weren't crowded. Watersports center.
The who island is crisscrossed with cycle paths and everyone uses bikes to go from one coastal village to the next. You cycle through salt marshes and oyster farms to visit wonderful harbours or lighthouses stopping along the way to sample local produce or browse the markets.

Ile de Re is a horrible place to go.
Ile de Re is a horrible place to go. You must pay a toll of 16 euros anytime that you go there. Traffic jams are unbearable (one to two hours) and there is nothing to see/do that is special. Stay in La Rochelle in you want to travel there.

Lovely hotel. Well situated in the centre of La Couarde. Our room was spacious and very airy, well kitted out and with two separate beds (by prior arrangement) which isn’t that easy to get, surprisingly. Decoration was very tasteful and all very clean. Staff were very friendly and attentive, even remembering that my travel partner was ill and enquiring about him. Breakfast very nice: excellent bread and croissants and nice touches like choice of salted/unsalted Charente butter, freshly squeezed orange juice and Ile de Re honey.
We loved the hotel, love coming to the Hotel again. I travelled on a personal trip and I felt like coming to my home after warm and friendly welcome of the staffs. They upgraded our room for no extra cost. Room was very comfortable, spacious, and equipped with all necessary items needed to comfortably stay and cook. They gave us nice tips and guidance on exploring the city. I highly recommend this place to everyone and personally, I wouldn’t book anywhere else for my future trips to Île de Ré.
Clean rooms, air conditioning that was exceptional and this was needed as the temperatures exceeded 33C. A relaxed, happy feeling to the hotel and the village. Car parking was secure and a good place to leave our bikes. Beach was 50 yards away - amazing.
Exceptionally friendly people who work there. Lady on reception (Silvia) was so nice and helpful. The whole hotel was decorated in a very fancy way. Breakfast was from fresh and tasty ingredients. Hotel exterior was very cozy.
Very friendly helpful and pleasant staff. Clean comfortable rooms. Very close to beach and restaurants. Lovely pool area. Dedicated parking area. A number of guests had their pets with them. Unpretentious down to earth hotel.
Lovely little hotel in the centre of the old village. our room was large and very comfortable with a good terrace outside . The staff were charming and efficient. The evening bar with tapas was convivial and good value.
A nice big comfortable bed with lovely bed linen.
The room was light and airy.
Close to the beach and a selection of eating places nearby.
Free and secure parking at the hotel was a bonus.
Friendly staff.
We loved the location, exactly in the centre, some shops lots of restaurants and coffee shops. A superb area. The hotel was super clean good breakfast.
