Loch Lomond Hotel, hotel in Balloch

Located 17 miles from Glasgow Botanic Gardens, Loch Lomond Hotel offers 3-star accommodations in Balloch and has a terrace, a restaurant and a bar.

We got their supersized room which can be made up with six twin beds or two kings and two twins. The room is two traditional hotel rooms with a wall removed, so it has a lot of square footage with two toilets, one large table in the middle and a wardrobe. An easy place to stay with a family and it's near to all that Balloch has to offer. The restaurant on the ground floor has a great breakfast menu.

Tullie Inn, hotel in Balloch

Located next to Balloch Rail Station, Tullie Inn offers comfortable accommodations 1 mile from Alexandria town center.

We were made to feel incredibly welcome. We arrived very early in the morning and our room had already been prepared and was ready for us. Which was not expected but so appreciated! The breakfast was sooo tasty and all the touches in the room like the nespresso coffee machine and biscuits. The decor was modern and stylish throughout. Despite there pub being fully booked and buzzing downstairs we had a quiet and comfortable night in our room. Couldn’t recommend staying more highly. The location was also fab!

Levenhowe Holiday Apartment, hotel in Balloch

Levenhowe Holiday Apartment is located in Balloch, just 17 miles from Glasgow Botanic Gardens and 17 miles from Mugdock Country Park.

Easy check in with the keys in the lockbox. Alan, our host, responded quickly to our queries. The apartment was clean and tidy, which could accommodate 4 of us. Everything we needed was there. The kitchen was well equipped and we can prepare simple meals. The beds were comfortable which allowed us a good sleep. The location was good too, within walking distance to the town center and near driving to places of attractions around Balloch. The TV entertainment channels were great! And finally the checking out like any other instructions was easy and simple. Thanks Alan and June. We had a great stay although it was only for two nights.

Lovely wee toon. Lots ongoing. KILT-WALK w/e. Helpful locals. Clean and tidy streets. Pubs, cafe’s and shops doing a great trade. Many outdoor facilities to choose from. Shopping outlet by Loch Lomond a brilliant place to visit. The wee eaterie by Pavers Shoe shop is great for food, drinks, people watching, views and a good venue for men, when the ladies go shopping 😄. This wee toon was rammed with walkers and “Kilties” ( people assisting the walkers and doing a great job of traffic management etc. keeping pedestrians and drivers safe , throughout the whole w/e ). Outstanding wee toon.

Beautiful scenery on the walks to Loch Lomond shores, if you can get on the boat tour then I would definitely recommend, so tranquil. The Tullie Inn is directly next to the train station and across the road is the boat trips booking office. We’ve stayed here a few times. Pleasant staff, cosy, comfortable and clean spacious rooms.

We have stayed there before. Like where it sits on the Loch.

We have stayed there before. Like where it sits on the Loch. Easy access to parking. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Food good and great variety. The only downside is there is no sitting area away from the restaurant at night. Could do with a little bar to have a quiet drink before going to bed. You can easily access anywhere else in the Balloch area.

Apart from the House of Fraser shopping centre there was not much else. Ideal for walking an=round the area but the town itself is in need of investment as it was pretty shabby, poor example of the gateway to Loch Lomond

The hotel was in an excellent location close to Loch Lomond shores and the centre of Balloch. There are excellent travel links within a 10 minute walk to both the train station and bus station. The room was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. Excellent facilities in the room including tea / coffee making facilities and a hairdryer, and an iron can be requested from reception. Breakfast was amazing and staff very friendly and accommodating. Overall an excellent break and would stay here again.

We liked how Hospitable the hosts were. Located in a beautiful farmhouse setting. Its great its within a centralised location to local areas As its a family home, as well as a B&B it has a homely feel and doesn’t feel you are in a business/Hotel/guest house- definitely felt like a special guest to their home. - fantastic facilities within room space (Table, fridge, microwave, cupboard space, toaster, TV, Hair dryer etc) - the dogs were wonderful - the hot breakfasts served at our room were delightful

Elegant and cozy room with everything clean, tidy and neat. Bad was very comfortable they had TV with Netflix! Staff was very polite, and they were considerate about the covid. They give you a wide range of selection for breakfast which was also perfect. Right before this trip I've spent a night in a big brand branch hotel in Edinburgh Loch Lomond Guest House made them look like amateurs.

For a family quickly touring the UK for 10 days, this "glamping" experience served as a marvelous introduction to Scotland outside its cities and towns. The hosts went out of their way to ensure that each family member, whether young or old, had a relaxing and enjoyable time. That served to make the experience even more memorable.

The nice flat is well located in the area. It is clean, spacious and hall everything you will need for a few days in the area. Parking is free and well sized, things to do on Balloch are within walking distance. Try walking into town via the foot and cyclepath nearby and after dinner the large park is great for an evening stroll.
