The b&b is walking distance to downtown Nicolosi with cute shops/ restaurants and a market on Sunday when I was there. It is an easy drive to and from Catania city and airport, Taormina, Naxos beaches, and especially easy to get to Etna. The neighbor is a your guide, and he may be able to take you to work with him if you need a ride to the base lol. I rented a car and only planned to stay here one night before I climbed Etna, but I stayed two extra because it was a great value and great base to get everywhere north of Catania. highly recommend!

The terrace was ideal for breakfast and supper. If you plan to visit Catania from Nicolosi, consider driving to "Parcheggio Scambiatore Due Obelischi", and then using bus BRT1.

Giovanni and his wife are simple exceptional hosts - very welcoming and most hospitable, always answering quickly, recommending nice spots and restaurants in the environment and offering the best breakfast we had in 2 weeks on Sicily. The room was fantastic and the view also beautiful down the slope of the Aetna. It was a great finish of our round trip.
