We loved the Museum of the Moving Image. I am a frequent museum go-er but had never heard of this museum. Since it was right around the corner from where we were staying, my husband and I decided to go -- and were we ever surprised and impressed. We could have spent all day there. Words can't describe how great this place is. If you are a movie or TV buff, this is a must-see. Even if you are not (like me), you should still go. I'm sure you'll be bowled over with this place.
NYC what can i say? so much! Not only does BK have a vibe of it's own, it has different vibes. As a former resident, I look forward to doing all of the things that I never did when I lived there. Botanical gardens is next on the list.
New York is awesome but the hotel I do not like no it no air condition I went to the doctor today Cody me a fortune because I had allergy and sinus no problem no air conditioner they should return money back my favorite restaurant Stardust My favor n play notebooks avoid Saturday and Sunday is too crowded more expensive
The deposit is not clear, and it is not mentioned on booking.com. - Staff are kind but for me one staff was racist and I was shouted at and humiliated just for asking to send an invoice. - I recommend the customer service is not that good as it destroyed the image creating a very unsafe environment for me as a customer. - The management needs more personnel for the night shift because, during my stay with the receptionist, I felt unsafe and no one else was present to reassure the staff; instead, my brother had to gently remove me and lead me to the lift. -The rooms are really small and the shower and toilets are in a very small space, for family members sharing a room is very difficult. I would only recommend it if you have a short stay there and I do not recommend it for European travellers as the deposit thing looks like a scam. The currency converter was a bit weird too. I ended up paying 100€ extra and still waiting for my deposit.
Plenty of things to do. Be prepared to have good walking shoes ! Take an itinerary before you go as there is so much to see & do. Cannabis now legalised which we didn’t like as it smelt so strong when walking about. We found some people were quite rude especially venues like cafes, coffee shops & the airport. Hotel staff all pleasant though.
Amazing view of the bridge and the Manhattan skyline, especially when timing with the sunset. Plenty of places to eat. We had a 10 minute walk from our hotel in Dyker Heights to the nearest subway and there were loads of shops, eating places and cafes - including the likes of Victoria's Secrets and Saphora, so I expect the area to be growing and becoming more popular.
