Nerja – Íbúðahótel

I needed to be near the bus terminal and this location is just a couple of blocks away. This made all my connections (to Nerja, day trip to Frigialana, and transfer to Malaga airport) so easy. As a bonus, it is juat a short walk to a shopping district and stunning beachfront.

beautiful location directly on the beach. The pool area is well laid out with plenty of loungers to catch sun on. the lawn area overlooking the sea is absolute perfection, offering shade under the umbrellas when needed. No need to reserve, and we always found one available. Breakfast was a delight, the food was varied with cereal, full English, churros, pancakes, pastries and fruit. We had dinner one night in the restaurant and it was equally amazing. we were lucky enough to have a full sea view room and it was hands down the best view I’ve ever had. you could hear the sea as you went to sleep and enjoying coffee on the balcony whilst getting some work done gave me life (wifi was excellent). the rooms are a little dated, but comfortable, clean and actually very cool. we didn’t need to tinker with the air-con at all. The kitchen had a kettle, stove and microwave so you could make snacks. the on-site store (and there is a shop right next door) had milk, bread, coffee, cheese, ham, crisps etc (there is also a Lidl about 30 min walk away). the walk to Nerja is about 20 minutes along the sea front where there are several beaches to choose from and lots of restaurants and shops. the beach out front of the hotel is nice and clean but a little stoney. staff were extremely helpful and friendly. they organized our transfer taxis for the airport (€69 each way but I believe there is also a bus) and we’re great at providing tips for the local area.
