Good shared kitchen facilities for self catering. The property is in a great spot by the centre of Narbonne with nice bars and restaurants and the canal just around the corner. Craig the owner takes care to make sure guests are safe and happy. Very good and quick communication. Great value stay.

Good position for exploring Narbonne by foot or bike. We only stayed one night but I imagine a longer stay would be good and cheap given the self-catering facilities available (cooker, pots and pans, dishwasher). Great view of the cathedral from the room. The room is very private and not overlooked.

Hotel it is not, more like an old boarding house, shabby, pretty grim, on a narrow run down street with very little parking available nearby. The bathroom was OK, modern and fully tiled. The room was grim, plaster off the walls, only net curtains. Very poor lighting on stairs so it was difficult to make out room number. And we had a superior room!

The owner is restoring the ancient former convent, converting it into first rate self catering accommodation. It is a fascinating building and for fans of the UK TV show "Grand Designs" a stay is a must. The convent is within Narbonne's historic centre and convenient to the train station. Views of the nearby cathedral.and the town's roof tops from the convent tower are spectacular.RaceSolo traveler
