The apartment location is great with a fantastic view. The standard of accommodation was excellent as were the facilities. Plenty of room, comfortable beds. Check in was easy. The sauna was amazing. Well equipped if you want to dine in. Plenty of restaurants near by, but ensure you book in advance.

Lapland Hotel Ounasvaara Chalets is by the Kemijoki River, next to Ounasvaara Ski Centre. It offers free WiFi, free parking and apartments with private saunas and fully equipped kitchens. Definitely recommended to stay in Rovaniemi. Chalets are modern, very functional, extremely clean. Breakfast is fabulous with high choice of local cousins. If you like to walk plenary of tourist tracks nearby. It is not on the standard path if you want to visit city center or Santa Claus village, so prepare do either taxi rides, great walks or use a car if you have. Although location just nearby the river is great. Sauna in your chalet is a high plus. We were after standard winter season which needs to be great there when you have snow around.
