200 metres from Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools in Porto Moniz, Studios by Aqua Natura Hotels features accommodation with access to a sauna and hot tub. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Welcoming drinks at the arrival, sparkling wine at the room. Spacious room with huge bed and even bigger pillows. Free access to the natural pools. As pools were too cold for us, we enjoyed the jacuzzi zone on the hotel roof. Breakfast was nice, with many fruit options and a nice view. Good value for money.

Valley of Nuns Holiday Apartments features quiet street views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Curral das Freiras, 15 km from Marina do Funchal. Everything about this apartment was amazing. I can’t recommend it enough. The setting is beyond spectacular, well worth the extra drive from Funchal. The village is quaint and friendly, with a food market just up the street and beautiful trails nearby. The apartment is large, yet still cozy, and well maintained. And the hosts are wonderful. I can’t say enough about this apartment. It exceeded my expectations in every way. I’m hoping to be back as soon as possible.

Attractively located in the Santa Maria district of Funchal, Apartments Madeira City Center is situated 600 metres from Almirante Reis Beach, 1.4 km from Marina do Funchal and 14 km from Girao Cape. The apartment was very central and well equipped. A charming host who arranged a taxi from the airport and was so waiting to greet us. Furthermore, he phoned me the day after we had left to say I had left a couple of personal items to arrange their return. I would recommend this apartment as everything was excellent.

Located in Funchal, Apartments Madeira Old Town are a 5-minute walk to the beach and to the Funchal old town. Lovely location that’s very close to lots of restaurants and the lido. We stayed for New Years and the view of the fireworks from the balcony was out of this world. But the best thing about the property is the host Sarah, she’s such fun and was so easy to communicate with during our stay.

Overlooking the lush Municipal Garden, the Wine Lodges offers apartments in Funchal city centre. When we first entered the appartment and opened windows wonderful jazz sounds from the park outside fulfilled all appartment. You just can sit and enjoy music and views with the glass of complimentary welcome wine. Highly recommend this property: central location, huge appartment, comfortable beds, very clean, full kitchen equipment, iron and iron desk. Easy communication with the owner. Set in São Martinho, within a 10-minute drive from Funchal, Vila Marta offers accommodation with a private terrace and views of the Atlantic Ocean and banana plantations. Such a great place with the most friendliest host. Would definitely recommend to stay here! Very well equipped kitchen and super clean traditionally furnished, spacious room. They even offer you some Madeiran drink and breakfast supplies for first morning is a great bonus - and some bread delivery at mornings.

Set in tropical gardens overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, the Suite Hotel Eden Mar - Porto Bay features a lagoon-style outdoor pool. Beautiful hotel with fabulous amenities. Live music was a bonus. Great happy hour.
