I did have some issues activating the keypad and had to reach out to the host who promptly responded. Once I got the hang of it there were no issues. The accommodations were GORGEOUS and were in the BEST spot. There was so much to walk to including stores, bars, restaurants, and row boats that you row yourself!

Comprising of converted farm buildings and new purpose-built apartments, Plawsworth Hall is located in Chester-le-Street, not far from Lumley Castle. WiFi is provided throughout the properties. The location was beautiful, it overlooks fields, is very quiet and a short drive to park and ride for Durham. We were upgraded to a modern newly built apartment that was very spacious and comfortable for a 5 night stay and were amazed at the scale of this property it being a combination of old renovated cottages and new builds.

Super directions to the quaint 3 story house with the red door. Quiet and peaceful location, yet within 12 minutes walking distance to the centre of town, partly along the beautiful river. We especially liked the kitchen/dining area. This was after the 3rd flight of stairs and was an incredible surprise as we opened the door to a huge, inviting space. We spent most of our time in the dining area, when not out walking in Durham, drinking coffee or wine as we watched the clouds pass overhead through the skylight windows. The bathrooms were excellent. Everything was better than I had experienced in the Radisson and the Marriott. Having your own kitchen/dining room and 2 pristine bathrooms made this place very special. The owner was very responsive to our email.
