Spending time with Gisli was one of the highlights of our 2 weeks in Iceland, he is such a lovely man.

The apartment was AMAZING! It had all the basic necessities and was perfect if you do not plan on cooking an elaborated meal. We loved that there was a hot pot right across the street. The apartment was easy to find and while far away from everything it was also close to where you need to get to. The bathroom was great and everything was clean and newly looking. Linens and towels were fresh. Beds were comfortable. Huge windows to look outside.

The view out the windows is stunning of the local mountains. The garden is beautiful and the deck such a pleasure to enjoy. The suite itself is spacious, clean and has all the amenities you could want. I loved the little kitchen. The hosts were so friendly and helpful and made my stay a joy. I would 100% stay here again. It is up a very small hill from town and a really nice walk (5 mins) into the center of town with more views along the way.

While being located on the second floor of 2 stories building, it has its own independent entrance and staircase, which makes it feel very private despite being an apartment.

Stekkar appartment is a good starting point for exploring the nearby touristical highlights such as Dynjandi waterfall, Rauđisandur beach and Látrabjarg cliffs. We highly recommend a visit of Selárdalur and Samúel Jónsson's art farm.
