The house is very spacious and has the most comfortable beds & blankets. I couldn't sleep on my back side since I had slipped & injured my tailbone a week before. But I could on this bed! The washing machine is also an actual dryer in one!

They provided breakfast and additional meals during the day, even some bbq at the end of my stay. They also gave me a ride to Mt Yufu, a popular hiking destination.

19 km from Oita Bank Dome, HAJIMARI Beppu is a recently renovated property set in Beppu and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. It was beautiful! What an amazing hotel, would recommend anyone going to Beppu to book a night here it was fantastic. The art in the rooms and the energy of the space was immaculate. We had breakfast down stairs the next morning which was delicious and very relaxing. It was a very simple check in, it is in a quieter area of Beppu which was a nice way to finish our time here.

Guesthouse RETURN, a property with free bikes, is located in Kitsuki, 37 km from Oita Station, 41 km from Kinrinko Lake, as well as 11 km from Harmony Land. The accommodation was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen facilities were excellent. There were shops and restaurants a short walk away. The most impressive for me however, was the host Ken, and his wife. They were very kind and friendly, and more than willing to help with any local information I needed. He gave recommendations for restaurants and for sightseeing in the beautiful town of Kitsuki. Ken went out of his way to help me when my travel plans went awry due to some serious weather conditions - thanks again for your kindness. I would highly recommend Guesthouse Return for anyone staying in the area.
