Everything was lovely. Haus Alpenrose was a mere minute walk from the train station. The place was cozy and clean. I even got an upgraded room with a view! Breakfast was simple but filling. The host, Michael, was very pleasant and gave me the best tips on how to get around with my itinerary, especially with the weather. You can never go wrong with listening to a local's recommendation. Will definitely recommend this place.l

Basically everything was really great, and just to briefly note the view from our room was amazing and we had a remarkable, comfortable and exceptional stay thanks to both Jillian and Adrian, who are one of a kind friendly and very professional hosts and we can definitely recommend this house to anyone coming to Hallstättersee. Sweep, the cat, is around the house and she only adds up making you feel like at home. Overal, this was one of the best travel experiences we've had in a long while. If you are hesitating whether to book, you should definitely give it a try and guarenteed you will have a very nice time, very close to everything in the area and you also can enjoy the silence which is only occasionally interrupted by distant sounds of deers. 🦌

Homey atmosphere; home away from home feeling, made especially welcoming by the warm hospitality of the hosts, Larry and Lisa. We had few days of peace and quiet ambience. It’s near the train station, grocery and bakery. The place is very clean and Nina was very helpful and accommodating. One of our rooms has an awesome view of the mountains. Such a beautiful place.

Location was Great , there was a supermarket near by and the ferry is like 5-7 minutes walk to reach Hallstat . It close to the mountains which is wonderful . The view and the experience was amazing in Obertraun.
