the property and breakfast were both lovely, but the biggest highlight is the owners charming and welcoming attitude. Hat's off to Claire and Freddy, and their friendly pets Parker (dog) and cat. Barbizon itself is also sweet and charming and there are nice walks in the forest.

Our room was beautifully decorated and enormous. An abundant and very nice breakfast was served on the terrace and it was lovely to watch the horses as we ate. The village of Barbizon, just up the road, has a number of restaurants.
