Everything was perfect! Location- in the middle of Normandy; the atmosphere- you really find yourself as you are a quest in 19th century manor house! Benedict was a perfect hostess- she arranged all our dinners, even when Google said that everything was closed. And a room was lovely- spacious and clean with a comfy bed. Highly recommend this place!

I loved everything. I had a single room in a house that had two other rooms, so I could have been sharing the accommodation with a couple of others, but I was the only one there so had it to myself. Seemingly there is other accommodation where sharing would not be an issue. The house is a very old characterful property in a small hamlet a couple of kilometers from the beautiful small town of Pont d'Ouilly. The catering facilities in the house were excellent; just about every implement that could be imagined. It's a very rustic property in a beautiful area (la Suisse Normande), which is excellent for hiking. There is a large back garden that, when the sun shines, has somewhere to be in the sun at all times. Eating in the garden is entirely possible. If you don't want to self cater, there are eating possibilities in Pont d'Ouilly, but that would probably involve a drive. In some ways, the landlady, Denise, was one of the highlights. She is so welcoming and helpful. I immediately felt totally at home. Denise lives in the house opposite. The accommodation was her parents' home.

Very warm welcome from Annie who showed us the lovely accommodation and explained the workings of the coffee machine, remote controls for tv, etc. The accommodation was immaculately clean and spacious and comfortable. Annie has put a lot of work into gathering photos and souvenirs from the time that this accommodation and nearby houses were used by the weavers (Les Tisserands) both as their workshops and also living accommodation. Our accommodation was sensitively restored and beautifully decorated by Annie and Didier. Nice furnishings and a very comfortable bed. A really nice bathroom with a very good shower in a lovely and spacious shower cubicle. Rainwater is collected and used for the toilets and the shower water and hot water is heated by solar energy. Breakfast was substantial and delicious......many homemade jams, cake, pancakes, yogurt, freshly squeezed orange juice, etc.

Perfect location to stay - especially if cycling the Vélo Francette route. Very welcoming & thoughtful hosts. Great shower after a long journey. Safe bike storage. Comfortable room & outstanding food. Book in advance for dinner if you can - delicious, locally sourced/homegrown ingredients- really worth it.

An extremely idyllic location, incredibly beautiful with accessible restaurants nearby. The owner was very professional. The surrounding landscape was so beautiful we spent the next morning driving around the valley.

Both Arnaud & Natalie were very warm & welcoming hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Freshly home made cake, jams for an excellent breakfast. The renovations of the period building have been thoughtfully undertaken. Nathlie's eye for detailed attention regarding the design & decor of our pleasant bedroom & exquisite bathroom were truly brilliant! Our hosts were able to provide enjoyable lunchtime picnics, together with assistance in choosing our activities & make reservations at local restaurants. We shall certainly be returning & will be highly recommending LE Manoire to our friends & family.

This was one of the most comfortable bed and breakfasts we hve ever been in. Decorated tastefully and highly functional. They thought of everything we may need including a bedtime storybook for our son. Extra points for having the fire going when we arrived in the evening, the easter chocolates, the nightlight, the delicious breakfast. The owners were warm, lovely and clearly have a love of hosting. We recommend wholeheartedly, and would love to come back another time.
