The rooms were beautifully decorated and furnished to a very high standard. The bed was probably super king size, v comfortable and had the best quality cotton linen. Each room was very large and cool, allowing a perfect night’s sleep in this peaceful location. The owner, Sebastien, made us very welcome and helped us with lots of information and served a generous breakfast of yoghurt, muesli, meats, cheese, croissants, breads, butter and jam, juice, coffee and tea each morning. We were able to enjoy an evening drink on the terrace. It was perfect

Brigitte and Bruno were very good hosts. We were offered dinner on the evening of our stay, which was very nice. Neither of them spoke English and we spoke very little French but using translator we managed to have a very good evening together. We were due to catch an early train back to England the next day and told them we wouldn't need breakfast but they got up extra early to prepare us a breakfast and invited us into their home. Usually breakfast would be served in an another room ,outside their home. Very friendly and welcoming.

We absolutely loved this stay. Beautiful quiet location right by the canal, hot showers, tasteful decoration and comfortable bed. We had a perfect meal prepared for dinner (by arrangement) and the breakfast was ample fresh and made with care. A lovely experience. Host was very attentive. Perfect choice for cycle tourists .

Very quiet surroundings (no traffic in the vicinity). Wifi connection worked well everywhere I went. The personnel was generally warm and kind. Breakfast was also fine with good croissants, fresh fruit and cereals. The restaurant, in the cellars of the hotel, serves excellent food (above average: refined cuisine). Better to book in advance.

The Prestige room was very good, with plenty of space, including an area for sitting, as well as a large modern bath/shower room. It was very good for one night, but would also be a good base for more nights as there was a large wardrobe for hanging clothes etc.
