The Villa is tucked away in a small village a few miles from the coast, and there’s nothing much to see from the street - but once you’re behind the big iron gates and high wall, it’s completely charming. The main house overlooks a large secluded garden in ‘le style anglais’ complete with pond, lawn and trees, and there’s a large conservatory in which breakfast is served on good days. Our room was extremely comfortable, and the hosts could not have been nicer or more helpful. All this was topped off with a magnificent breakfast.
