One of the special things about staying in a small bed and breakfast is getting to meet the people that run it. Marie Helene and Thierry made us feel welcome like we had known them for years. L'ecrin is a beautiful comfortable place to stay which was clearly put together with a lot of attention to detail. But part of the fun of staying here was learning the history of the place the history of their family. Sermiers is a tiny town and L'ecrin is located next to vineyards. This is a place to get away from the city activity - yet it is a relatively short drive to visit attractions in Reims and Epernay.
