John is a wonderful host. His attention to detail and ensuring your comfort is outstanding. The room was quiet, clean, very comfortable and had a beautiful view out the window. I would stay here again and would recommend to anyone going through the area. It was exactly the kind of refreshing stay needed after the biggest days of walking on the WHW. The breakfast was also wonderful with most items homemade by John and/or Janice.

The house also has a living room on the first floor with comfy sofas. There is plenty of room to park a car just near the entrance to the building. Shona (the host) is charming, and helpful, and offers a great and tasty breakfast.

Our host was charming and fun and had set up a busy feeding station for the birds and red squirrels which we could watch from our table in the dining room. We dined at a local pub recommended by him and that was excellent. We had a comfortable sleep and an excellent breakfast. Would love to stay again.
